Hello, James! How are you?

No, the FDA lists Nipecil as containing Penicillin, which is an antibiotic, but it's in a different class than Ciprofloxacin. Not all are effective at eradicating the same bacteria, so you should always take the one your doctor has prescribed.

Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Is there anything else I can help with?

What is the difference between ciprofloxacin HCA 500 and penicillin a nipecil 500 and is it safe to use on a diverticulitis infection?

My husband has diverticulitis and he's in pain and had bacteria stuck in his colon. Can he use penicillin a nipecil 500 instead of ciprofloxacin?

Thank you
