What excuse can you use to ask the doctor for the pink oxycodone instead of the other ones?

Hi black,

If you can inform the doctor of a legitimate reason as to "why" you would prefer one version over another, then that seems to me like it would be your be your best bet for convincing him/her to change their decision.

Usually there are certain inactive ingredients (that may or may not be present in each tablet) that can have an effect on how well your body metabolizes the pill as a whole. And in some cases your body simply responds better to one over the other. Not only that but the addition of Acetaminophen can also lead to liver toxicity with prolonged use. Perhaps this would make for a good debate if he/she questioned you on your reasoning behind wanting to switch tablets.

I hope this helps!

Eh sounds fishy but Ill just lay out my reasoning for only taking a couple norco and was right back in his office that afternoon... rebound headaches... horrible things i learned i got from tylenol.... i never took anything with tylenol before just ibuprofen etc... so was a slight shock but did cause the switch without much effort. For the liver issues you have to be taking a fairly high dose for a bit... i dont condone tylenol because the possible liver damage but yeah.... that would not be my excuse unless i was well aware of how health considerate my doctor was and not just covering his own rear by throwing you norco or whatever with tylenol. I know this isn't the reason for norco but you will die from the tylenol before a true opiate overdose... not so great....I am just going to assume if tylenol was any other issue you would have stated your reason for not wanting it but i am all about harm reduction so there is a legit reason to not take tylenol... among others.... but if its giving you almost migraines unless you take it non stop then I have never heard of a dr not swapping to a different med.... might not be what you want but they will swap you.

You are one hundred percent correct in this... of course it all depends on the doctor and the price of the medication. But simply put, I am now on Oxycodone and OxyContin for the second time, I do not ask the doctor for his suggestion, I tell him what I wish to try and luckily he is a decent understanding guy. But then I was severely injured so I have the option to ask for what I wish and I am also experienced in specialising in opiate mechanism of actions
