Pantoprazole and lowered platelets

My platelet counts have been jumping down very fast at times lately, then going back up - so far. Has anyone had experience with low platelets when taking pantoprazole or another PPI? If so, how did it behave over time? So far mine are not dangerously low, but I'm nervous.

I have had a chronic ulcer for many years and am taking stomach medicine like pantoprazole, but still have not been cured. The day before yesterday my Dr advise me to take Pantop HP Kit. I was wondering if by using the drug Tecta if it causes weight gain or causes bloating or retaining water? ## From what I can find, this contains the active ingredient Pantoprazole, which is a proton pump inhibitor that is used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach to treat or prevent conditions, such as heartburn, ulcers, GERD and Gastritis. And it can cause some gas and bloating, as a side effect, however, it is rarely known to cause water retention, but it has happened in some people. Have you contacted your doctor? Loss taste may be gerd

I lost my sense of taste a few weeks ago. Mostly sweets. It comes back sometimes but always goes back out. I also have a sore throat and phlegm. Smell appears fine. The doctor thinks I may have GERD because of the throat issues and I do burp a lot. When I do burp there is no taste to it like heartburn but he says that there doesn't have to be. I took my first pill today and today was a decent tasting day. Within four hours of taking the pill my taste was gone again. I how this is a coincidence. I had tried 75 mg of Zantac before and didn't see a difference either way. Could taking the Tecta be making my taste worse if my issue is in fact not gerd? Also can it cause constipation? Antibiotics for example give me severe constipation. I'm starting to get very depressed with the ...
