Sleep Aid Overview

Hypnotic (from Greek Hypnos, sleep) or soporific drugs, commonly known as sleeping pills, are a class of psychoactive drugs whose primary function is to induce sleep[1] and to be used in the treatment of insomnia (sleeplessness), or for surgical anesthesia.[note 1] This group is related to sedatives. Whereas the term sedative describes drugs that serve to calm or relieve anxiety, the term hypnotic generally describes drugs whose main purpose is to initiate, sus...

Activas Temazepam 30mg vs others

I recently changed pharmacy's. I usually take the yellow Mylan 30mg Temazepam dose which works fine. The new pharmacy's generic is from Activas. A white capsule with a logo (R with a line through it) and 077 imprinted on it. I do not get the same effect of what I am used to vs the yellow 30mg capsules. has anyone had the same issue? I also seem to have a slight withdrawal during the next day. Has anyone else switched Mfg? ## Although I don't have any personal experience with this medication, I am aware that the major differences in peoples reaction to the drug are largely due to different body chemistry and different inactive ingredients in each brand/generic. Furthermore, the FDA permits generic formulas to vary by as much as 20% from the active ingredients in brand formula...

Temazepam hangover

I have been having sleep issues for some time now. I have taken ambien then lunesta and they no longer work. My doctor gave me a script for 30 mg Temazepam. I took the first one last night. I sleep very well but had a very hard time waking up and have felt groggy since arising about 4 hours ago. Does this hangover side efect go away or is it the norm whenever taking this drug? ## It may sound funny at first, but word for word, this is listed as a normal side effect of Temazepam: "hangover effect (feeling groggy the day after you take temazepam)" Referenced from: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a684003.html#side-effects However it also mentions that you should let your doctor know if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away. My suggestion would be to continue taki...

Torrent Pharmaceutical Zolpidem

I had this 10 mg from torrent and the pharmacy could not supply a refill. I do not like the substitute mfg. How can I get torrent zolpidem? ## Have you tried asking your pharmacy if they can order it in for you? This is a generic for Ambien and the one that a pharmacy carries can change, at any given time, depending on who was offering the cheapest price, when they had to restock their supply. This is how the keep the price as low as possible for customers that don't have insurance. ## Torrent is a Co. from India By local, hell I'd rather be broke n at least know that my $$ was still in Country Semper Fi' ## Recieved RX of 30 tabs Some are Peach-Yellow in color Others are white in color. Isn't that odd? Should they be 2 different colors in the same order? The inmprint on ...

Ambien ( controlled substance)

My dr proscribed Ambien and it just didn’t work. I would take 3 or 4 pills over the course of a night/day. Now I am out and it takes me 6 hours to fall asleep. My question is this. If I pay cash can I get an Rx for Valium before my 30 days is up? The medication is not working and I’m getting about 2 hours a sleep a night. Two nights I stayed up all night and throughout the next day, Is this lack of sleep bad for my health? ## The Zolpidem in Ambien is a sedative hypnotic, though it is related to Benzodiazepines, they are different and are used to treat different conditions. You should be able to get a Valium prescription, before the 30 days is up, but that policy can vary depending on your insurance plan, and your doctor's policy. Have you tried checking with your doctor...

Zolfed 10 (Ambien)

I've been researching for 2 hours. The alleged manufacturer in India doesn't even make this product. And what they're putting in the pills will make you sick. ## @Jd, If you received these from an unlicensed pharmacy then in my opinion it's more than likely a scam product. I notice that some of the internet pharmacies based over in India make up random brand names for otherwise popular medications to maybe throw people off. Zolfed for example sounds like a knock-off name of Zoloft or Zolpidem. Unfortunately with false marketing at hand, there's no way to know for sure what these tablets contain unless you were to have the tablet analyzed by a lab. What was the name of the company you went through? And did you file a complaint with your credit/debit card institution? ...

Agonizing night with Belsomra

I took my first dose of Belsomra 10mg last night. I was awake all night. I had shaking and twitching all over. My legs were the worst, but I could also feel my stomach quivering! It was the most miserable and frightening experience. I'm glad I was given samples. ## Wow! I am very sorry about what happened to you, that's terrible. Belsomra side effects are listed as possibly including daytime sleepiness, sleep walking, dizziness, depression, and abnormal dreams. DailyMed does warn about some possible nausea, but given how miserable you were, and the fact that you didn't sleep, it doesn't seem that your response to it was typical. Are you on any other medications? ## Yeah, I'm one of those people that Dr's look at and say, "Oh my, what have I gotten myself into...

sleepasil side effects

I've been taking sleepasil for quite a while now and have been experiencing several possible side effects that may contributed by the drug. My major concern is what is in the drug. Yes it is BFAD approved but i cannot find its make up. Thanks. ## Sleepasil is actually a supplement claimed to help with sleep issues. It contains: Melatonin, Chamomile, Wild JuJube Seed Extract, Valerian Root, Hops, Scullcap, Passion Flower, Calcium and Magnesium. That said, since this is a supplement, side effects are not known, they have not been studied. What exactly have you been experiencing? Have you spoken to your doctor? ## it has melatonin. i heard its bad for eczema, psoriasis. i have skin problems but not yet have done skin biophsis but i know its either psoriasis or eczema. is it safe for me...
