Sleep Aid Overview

Hypnotic (from Greek Hypnos, sleep), or soporific drugs, commonly known as sleeping pills, are a class of psychoactive drugs whose primary function is to induce sleep[1] and for the treatment of insomnia (sleeplessness), or for surgical anesthesia.[note 1] This group is related to sedatives. Whereas the term sedative describes drugs that serve to calm or relieve anxiety, the term hypnotic generally describes drugs whose main purpose is to initiate, sustain, or ...

Zopiclone white BL are they safe?

My script has been filled with some round 7-5mg zopiclone. I know they're bad, or at least I think they are. They have BL on them. People I know have taken them and say they work, but these guys would drink petrol if it worked. Just wondering if you've heard of them? ## Where did they get these from? Online or from the UK? I just received my latest refill that are round white Zopiclone 7.5 mg with BL on one side. I have taken blue oval zopiclone 7.5 mg in Canada and the white ones did not have any effect? ## The pills you have are zopiclone. They are made by Bristol laboratories. ## Bristol laboratories Zopiclone 7.5 mg (round with BL marked) are no good. ## I had the ones with BL on them and they were white. They did nothing to me compared to the Zs with 7.5 on them. They have ...

Zopiclone 7.5mg blue without markings

I got zopiclone 7.5mg. They are packaged in strips stating zop 7.5mg. The tabs are round, blue, scored on one side, with no markings. They do work, but i'm a bit concerned as to whether or not they are safe. Can anyone enlighten me on this one? ## If they are Hab pharmaceutical ones from India they are the weakest of any zopiclone and believe me ive tried well over 15 brands! The confusing thing is when you look at their website the tablets are rugby shaped not round an saucer-like? I have a feeling they are fake fake fake!!!! ## I brought zopiclone 7,5mg the blue round from India, are these safe and can I cut them down ## Hab zopiclone are fine... Not rugby shaped at all. Mine are round, blue and have a groove on one side. ## I got the same there from india, I been taking them, bec...

Seconal for Insomnia

My physician prescribed every benzo drug imaginable (Ambien, Lunesta, sp?) and they were ineffective for my occasional insomnia, at best. He gave me a prescription for Seconal to use as needed. When I tried to fill it you would have thought the Rx said "Opiates" or "LSD". The younger pharmacists had not a clue as to what it was, and the older ones acted like they had seen a ghost. Anyway, I finally found the medication via my home delivery pharmacy and when I need it, I take it and it works. No wiped out memory, no sleepwalking, so groggy aftermath. Any drug when taken in excess or with other drugs can be dangerous...this includes simple OTC drugs, Tylenol, aspirin etc. This drug has been so vilified. I know that there is another use for the drug (in Oregon), however thi...

Sleep Medications stronger than Melatonin

Does anybody know any prescription strength sleep aids that are stronger than Melatonin? I have been using at least 10 mg Melatonin a night at bedtime for a few years but it isn’t working like it used to. Keep in mind this is when needed and I would talk to my doctor about this once I have a list related towards this. ## I am 89 and have used Ambien, 5 mg. dose for years, with no bad side effects. It gently brings on a sleepy feeling and usually lasts thru the night. A slight hazy feeling in the a.m. lasts for about an hour but that's all. Recommend that dosage. ## Melatonin is an OTC natural brain chemical, it supposed to have a calming effect. It's about as strong as Benadryl, if you know what I mean. There are many different sleep medications available, and some of the ...

safety of melatonin supplement

Sometimes my fiancee and i take a melatonin supplement that we got from Whole Foods in order to help us fall asleep. Personally I find that it works very well - and I feel relatively safe taking it because it is natural and not a "drug" per say... However I am just wondering if anybody else has experience or information about taking melatonin. From what I understand it is already produced naturallly by the body, so i wonder how they are able to synthesize this substance. I don't take it very often, just on days where I have to reset my sleep schedule. Any thoughts?? ## I took some the other night and it still took me awhile to fall asleep. There have been other times when it makes me very relaxed but I think my mind was too active. I don't think it should be taken every ...

I can't find any seconal or tuinal, I took this medication for many years after getting ulscers from fiorinal so I'm searching to find out where I can get this very old sleeping medication. Because I took Barbiturates for so long noyhing else works. ## I'm trying to find seconnal or tuinal as i was on fiorinal for so long eventually i was put on tuinal, because of alcurs to much asperin in the fiorinal. Barbituates as being such an old drug are hard to come by and nothing else works for getting a good nite sleep. I'm trying to see if the 100mg tuinal are still manufactured and whether I can ask my doctor to prescribe them? ## Have u found a place to fill a prescription yet? I'm still struggling along with EXTREME anxiety and panic attacks at least every other night. ...

White pill no imprint

I found two round white with a bunch of pinkish specks on them. There is no imprint and would like to know what they are. ## We can rule them out as being U.S. approved prescription tablets, since they are all required to have imprints to enable their identification. That means they are most likely over the counter products and that leaves it open to many different possibilities. What is your general location? Some products are regional, so that may help to narrow it down. Does anyone else recognize these? I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. ## I take white round tablet with pink specs, no imprint, that's a 10 mg quick dissolve melatonin, cherry flavored, made by HEB. If it sets out it seems to get more noticeable brigher specks, can barely see the ...

Torrent Pharmaceutical Zolpidem

I had this 10 mg from torrent and the pharmacy could not supply a refill. I do not like the substitute mfg. How can I get torrent zolpidem? ## Have you tried asking your pharmacy if they can order it in for you? This is a generic for Ambien and the one that a pharmacy carries can change, at any given time, depending on who was offering the cheapest price, when they had to restock their supply. This is how the keep the price as low as possible for customers that don't have insurance. ## Torrent is a Co. from India By local, hell I'd rather be broke n at least know that my $$ was still in Country Semper Fi' ## Recieved RX of 30 tabs Some are Peach-Yellow in color Others are white in color. Isn't that odd? Should they be 2 different colors in the same order? The inmprint on ...

Availability Of Tardyl

Does anyone know of the availability of Tardyl? Tardyl was used mostly in Eastern Europe. It is composed of Amobarbital, Glutethimide (Doriden) and Promethazine in a three layered tablet. I believe it was made by Extractum Pharmaceuticals, and is indicated for insomnia. The dosage was 125mg of Amobarbital and Glutethimide (Doriden) and I believe 25 mg of Promethazine, all in one tablet. A little overkill in my opinion, please pardon the pun. ## I am in the US and I know Tardyl was used in Hungary. It's a combination of Glutethimide (Doriden), Amobarbital, and Promethazine. Prescribed for insomnia, it was made in a triple layered tablet. I know that these babies will definitely put you to sleep, and too many you'll be sleeping for good. I believe they were made by Extractum Pharm...

Restoril Why Doesnt It Work

I have had a hard time sleeping as a child. Now that I am 43 it is very bothersome to me. I don't drink or take any drugs besides my thyroid medicine. I have tried Ambiem and lunesta. Neither worked. I am lucky if I get 12 to 14 hours of sleep a week. So now I have been on Restoril 30mg for about a week now and I still can't sleep. I am about to loose it. Why isn't these meds that the doctors say should knock me out, not working. Please I need some advice from people who have severe insomnia? Any advice would be welcome. ## Have you tried any of the natural remedies, such as just taking a Melatonin supplement at night? Learn more Melatonin details here. After having problems with insomnia for years and trying many medications, it's what I've found works best for me. ...
