Can I dye my hair while taking Zitromax? I am taken Zitromax and I am afraid to have an allergic reaction if I dye my hair while taking this antibiotic. ## Since the antibiotic is systemic, and the hair dye is topical, there shouldn't be any problem. The FDA does warn that this antibiotic may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash. We are all different, but I've colored mine for years, and never worried about what medication(s), I was taking. But, if you are really concerned, there is no harm in checking with your doctor, or pharmacist. Are you on any other medications?
