For an infection developed around the tooth, is it advisable to take ofloxacin and ornidazole tablets (Zanocin-Oz) for the infection? It has gastric problem associated with it. ## What has your dentist advised you to take? They should be guiding you in finding the appropriate antibiotic to treat the infection and when to return to have the tooth repaired. If you aren’t seeing your dentist, then the infection will just keep returning, since an antibiotic isn’t going to remedy the underlying cause of an infection, such as a deep dental cary. ## My teeth and gums are infected. Does Azithral 500 have any effect on the CBC? I have taken 5 tablets ( one a day for 5 days) together with Zanocin 200 (14 tablets --2 tablets/day for seven days) at the same time. I have polycythemia vera (JAK 2 test negative) and normally my Haemetocrit & haemoglobin values are high. However, when taking a blood test 2 days after finishing the Zanocin & Azithral tablets the results showed normal levels HG 12.2 & Haemetocrit 41
