Hello, I live in Youngstown, Oh. An area going through a recent "DEA dragnet". I really don't know what else to call it. Several Pharmacies and at least one very large Pain Management Clinic were raided in the past 8 or 9 months. This has caused so much more pain and suffering for the folks who were already suffering and in pain I don't have the vocabulary to express the frustration, helplessness, humiliation & anger towards the DEA and Ohio Pharmacy Board's self righteous & totally clueless "leaders" who're dictating to the doctors how much pain medication they can prescribe because they've determined the "trigger point" limit of certain narcotic pain medicines patient's have been taking for years. They put the fear of God in the ...

Hello. I'm in severe pain. Need doctors from Youngstown Ohio Canton Akron + Cleveland + western Pa. My doctor got arrested now I'm left with no doctor. Anyone know where I could go? Please let me know. Thank you. ## May I ask the name of the Dr you were seeing? I don't think I'm supposed to drop names here but I'd be happy to give you names of those located here. You can very likely do a Google search for pain managers in the area. Why not have your pcp refer you somewhere? You're going to need some kind of referral there's no question of that. They don't make appointments for new patients over the phone without a faxed referral and very likely will request the records come from the referring Dr. Why? They don't trust that the patient hasn't made ...

I do work full time and the pain us affecting my job. Looking for good pain mgt.doc in Western Pa.our near Youngstown, Ohio. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ## In order to get any such prescriptions filled, you'll need to stick with the state that you live in and also use a pharmacy in your home state. IE: Whatever state is on your ID or license. There are restrictions on how much of any controlled substance that pharmacies can order and have in stock per month, so most have had to restrict their filling practices to only customers and doctors that are within a certain radi...

I suffer from severe fibromyalgia for years now. It is documented and has been acknowledged by other Drs. I have recently relocated to Youngstown Ohio. I recently visited a doctor to become a patient for my pain and other unrelated issues- high blood pressure, etc. The doctor pretty much asked me to leave the office and refused to even consider treating my other nonpain issues AND told me that no other Dr. would bother to see me either. My only recourse for ANY medical treatment would be to visit a hospital-apparently here I am untouchable. I cannot begin to believe that this is the norm here. Any help, suggestions, clinics, etc is greatly appreciated. I am suffering daily and need someone to help. ## What was his reasoning for dismissing you as a patient and saying no other doctor woul...

I had a serious industrial accident in 2001 that left me with broken vertebrae in my lower spine, and have been on and off of meds ever since. i now have herniations at L4 L5/ L5s1 and the pain is unbearable. I have been med free for almost 2 yrs but cant deal w it anymore. I am located in youngstown ohio. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ## The biggest issue here is one you may be creating for yourself, by looking for specific medications in specific dosages. Almost any doctor is going to look at that as being drug seeking behavior and will be reluctant to take you on as a patient. The best thing you can do is get in touch with whomever provides your worker's compensation coverage and ask them for a list of doctors in your area that accept it. Then make an appointment with a ...
