I am sure many of you have seen an advertisement of a prescription drug that has caught your attention and you’ve maybe inquired about it to your doctor, thinking it’s the right drug for you to take. And some of you may have even left that doctors appointment with a prescription for the drug you requested. Even though you insisted it was, in some cases that may have not actually been the best drug for you to take. Although this sounds ridiculous, there is evidence proving that this happens. A study done by analyzing survey data previously gathered by the FDA from 1081 adults found that “when a physician’s patient is favorable to DTCA and is likely to search for more information about an advertised drug, the physi...

Please be ware there is no explaining what will happen to you physically and mentally you will wish you where dead and you feel like your going to I was on 80mg of methadone for 1 month I did 1\4 of an ampuill it was the worst experience I don't think they put o the warning labels what happened but it was really BAD ## Hi Pat, Sorry to hear about what happened. Sounds like you had a pretty grueling experience there. And I can only imagine how concerned I would be too, without having any prior warning labels/interactions listed on the packaging to help make sense of what's going on. From what I've read, it's probably not safe to use either of these drugs within at least a week of each other. Taking subutex (buprenorphine) directly after methadone could potentially put you...

Lorazapam, supposedly, X on one side Small kind of scored design on other side. It is a round white pill. ## Hello, Dahlia! How are you? That doesn't sound like any U.S. Lorazepam tablet that I'm familiar wit and I just scrolled through several pages of Lorazepam images and didn't find anything that matches this description. Lorazepam is a benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Does anyone recognize this tablet? Can you please post back and give a better description of that design? It might help someone to recognize it.

This may sound REALLY weird. I have been on Lexapro for about 1.5 years. I have been on almost EVERY anxiety medication since the age of 11 (I'm now 26). My anxiety has never been more manageable than it is on Lexapro, although environmental and other factors could play a role. However, I would like some advice on a certain side effect that I have been noticing lately. I'm not sure how to explain it... But it has become almost nearly IMPOSSIBLE for me to soak in my surroundings, a situation, my life. This may sound confusing but my brain won't allow me to really process my life. I almost feel like I'm going through the motions. For instance, I was on vacation and surrounded by beautiful scenery so I tried to look around and really take it all in so I could remember it an...

Not exactly the same as a Xanax, but it is used for a similar reason (anti-anxiety). The pill you are describing is actually a generic for Ativan. You can even see...

I'm 20. I went to the clinic because I had developed a rash on the inner lips of the vulva, causing painful urination and blood after urination. They said it was an sti and I told them I had the painful urination and the blood after urination long before I became sexually active.. they gave me doxytet.. what I wanna know is.. do I really have an sti or is it another infection, because the last 2 symptoms I've had since I was 13. ## Hi there - sorry to hear about your challenges. It sounds like they prescribed you the doxytet to treat a broad spectrum of possible infections, whether sexually transmitted or not. The symptoms which you are describing, especially blood after urinating, are pretty acute, and I think you should go for a second opinion and ask for them to run further t...

Can someone help me identify this pill I found it in my car it has a crescent moon shape on one side and looks like maybe 510 on the other side. ## Hello, Room mother! How are you? That's the Actavis logo and the tablet they make that matches this description is a pale yellow with their logo on one side and A510 on the other, it contains 10mgs of Donepezil, which is most commonly used to treat symptoms of Alzheimer's, such as confusion, dementia and memory loss. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and anorexia. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I believe you should look carefully into the pill. It sounds just like the pills I was prescribed by my physician. It was Opana 15mlg ER. used for severe pain. which it really didn't help my pain... ## The ph...

I was on 75 for over 9 years with still getting pain even with changing patch everyother day yeah know it's a three day patch. May of this year started with acupuncture dr three times a week. Started weaning self off the drug by delaying the changing of the patch. It is now August and happy to say since middle of July done with fentanyl. Yes still have pain but trying to just take two Tylenol or a percoset one if really can't stand it, I change positions more when sitting, walk as much as possible ## Sounds like you're doing everything right! :-) In many cases, people that suffer from chronic pain get very sedentary, not realizing that it actually makes their pain much worse, because joints stiffen and unused muscles begin to atrophy. Getting more exercise can greatly improv...

I found some hydrocodone from 1993. So tempted to try it , but don't want to die because of it????? What do I do????? ## Hi Blaque, I definitely wouldn't recommend trying something that has been degrading for over 20 years now. Odds are that it'll cause more harm than any high might be worth. It sounds like your best bet would probably be to turn the pills into your local pharmacy or police department. This way you can at least know that they'll be disposed of properly. I hope this helps!

i got 2 mg Xanax bars that say xanax on one side 2 on the on the other, white rectangle 3 score pills are they real? they taste sweet and then bitter. ## Here is a depiction of the genuine Xanax bars: Based on what you described it does sound like you have genuine 2 mg tablets. You can read more about this drug at: Hope this helps! ## The sweetness is often a sugar coating : usuality it is presumable that, what you have is not authentic because the brand name cares not to sugar coat the drug. Often generic medications, Alprazolam in your case, are too easy to manufacture due to higher advancements in technology. Indeed, you do have , or may have the pharmaceutical Alprazolam, but the BrandName is questionable indeed. I have 6 different bars all with the same imprint as you mentioned, b...

pharmacy gave me large white 30mg round tablets are they real ## Hello, Nikki! How are you? What are the markings on the tablet? I need this information in order to be able to identify them for you. Can you please post back and clarify? Thank you! This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Sounds like Rhodes which is a real weak version of oxycodone.

if fentanyl is 80x stronger than morphine, how much morphine will I have to take if I'm on 25mg fentanyl. sounds scary ## Hello, Kim! How are you? You're on 25mcgs of Fentanyl? You'd need only about 7.5mgs of Morphine. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Yes, Fentanyl is 80% stronger. ## None. If you are taking Fentanyl you should have no need to take morphine. ## I have been researching most of the day and absolutely cannot find an answer to my question. I have metastatic breast cancer. My oncologist had me on 60mg mscontin, which I take every 12 hours. I was also on 20mg oxycodone every 4 hours for b...

My doctor just told me that they are no longer going to produce this medication? Even the generic!? Is this true? Has anyone heard anything?? I have not been able to find any information on this. ## -325-40... My doctor said that this medication is being discontinued... Does anyone know anything? ## No it's not being discontinued. Absolutely not that I know of ## Just to add, I have not seen any official announcements from the FDA or manufacturer of Fioricet suggesting that it might be discontinued. That said, I'd really start questioning your doctor's motives for telling you it was being pulled off the shelves. Maybe s/he just didn't want to write for it anymore and that was their passive way of getting let off the hook, so to speak? Nevertheless, it sounds like a new d...

I got some Barrs 2mg that are tan colored and they say gg249 on it. Is it real? ## Hello, Kb! How are you? its a small pink shapped like a pentagon 1side has a line in middle and other side looks like a person sitting down ## It sounds like that would be a logo of some type, but I really can't anything that matches it. I wish I could get a good look at what the logo looks like. Is there any way you could post a picture or email it to me at [email protected]? It is highly possible that it is an over the counter medication, but I am just not certain of its identity. ## Hi Vernon I found out what it was Methandrostenolone its the same picture. Thanks for your help

I just tasted the yellow ones with R039 on it and they didn't have a chalky taste to it but I did taste a bitter sour taste to it and they didn't dissolve quickly. I had to break it up pretty good with my teeth. Are these counterfeit? What exactly does the real xanax bitterness taste like? ## Like the most bitter thing you ever put in your mouth. Why are you chewing them again? ## The reason I chewed it was to see if it was real. What is an example of this bitter taste? I really need help identifying if it's a legitimate pill or not. I am willing to send a pic if needed. ## If it tastes nasty then it's probably real. If it's chalky and doesn't have much flavor it's probably counterfeit. 99% sure...Yours sound real. ## Did they have a little bit of a soap tast...

I purchased what should have been Lasix 100 mg ..it says "Lusix 100 mg". The generic name should be furosemide and on the packaging it says "frusemide". There are no markings on the pills and I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? The envelope came from Combitic global caplet pvt ltd? Any suggestions? ## Honestly from the way you put it, this sounds like a classic case of a counterfeit. Deliberate misspellings for otherwise common drug names is the biggest red flag in my opinion. I'm not saying that Combitic Global Caplet is a fake manufacturer (though I could be mistaken), but perhaps whoever is distributing these products is putting on some sort of front for the real deal, if you know what I mean. On that note, Combitic Global Caplet does appea...

Hi, i recently bought metformin 500 mg tablets. How can i tell it's a real pill and not a placebo/sugar pill? Please help. ## Hello, Destiny! How are you? Where did you purchase them? Are there any markings on them? This information is what would enable me to check them out for you. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Metformin as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, flatulence, stomach pain and hypoglycemia. ## All of my melatonin is 10mg. I would investigate this. 500 MG of melatonin sounds too good to be true and if it is then it probably is too good to be true. ## She is asking anout METFORMIN! Not melatonin! And their oval with a score down the middle of both sides. One side has #'s C/474. And I am on 1000 mgs. Hope this helps someone.

I have some gg249 bars, white, blank on other side BUT these have a coating. Are they real? ## Hi wonderer, Based on my research, GG 249 tablets are supposed to be legitimate 2mg Alprazolam tablets, manufactured by Sandoz. However there have been several reports about fake one's going around from those who choose to obtain their medication by non-licensed overseas distributors; at which point any pill is subject to being counterfeit, no matter what it might look like. I don't know about the "coating" details specifically, but I would recommend running a search on some images to get a better visual perspective so you can compare your tablet that way as well. When all is said and done though, it certainly sounds like it would be best to start getting your medications from ...

Will this pill make u sleepy? So should I take it at bedtime? ## Hi Alicia, The green pill you're describing marked 44 464, contains the following active ingredients: Acetaminophen 500mg + Diphenhydramine 12.5mg + Phenylephrine 5mg. As far as side effects are concerned, high doses of acetaminophen can cause extreme tiredness. Drowsiness, dizziness, and muscle weakness, are also listed as common side effects of diphenhydramine. On the contrary, "sleeplessness" is listed as a general side effect of phenylephrine. So it sounds like you have a mix medications that could be pulling your energy in all these different directions, depending on how your body reacts to them. Not everyone who takes those medications experiences these types of side effects. So in the end it's reall...
