I'm in a suicidal state over the fact that I have not been able to get any help with depression does anybody know of a psychiatrist here in New York City in August that would be taking Medicare ## Hello, John! How are you? I am so very sorry about what you're going through. Do you have a PCP that you see regularly? They should be able to prescribe something that can help, in the meantime, while you're hunting for psychiatrist. Are you currently on any medications? Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area?

Hi im 17 years old. I suffer from very bad anxiety, panic, and social anxiety. Its horrible.. Im not going to school, i cant even enjoy something like getting my nails done without feeling anxious. I've tried so many doctors but they only prescribe Prozac Zoloft ect. Any doctors in New York that will prescribe Xanax or Clonopin? Please help! Ps im a good girl, im one of the few girls in my school that never drank/ got high in my life! ## If none of the drs you've seen will prescribe Xanax or Clonopin or keep you on it, you must not need it. Your parents are still responsible for you since you're under 18, so any dr would have to be one they agree to and one that is on their insurance. ## Be very easy to be good in school when you're not going! LOL

Are there any doctors in the Ithaca/ Tomkins coutny area tat I can easily get pain/anxiety scripts etc..? ## I'm sorry, but that's not going to be possible for anyone, anywhere anymore! Under the new drug laws, general practitioners and surgeons will only be able to prescribe any such medications for short-term use, such as for a few weeks after someone has had surgery or been in an accident. Anyone requiring them for a longer period of time will have to see a specialist, such as a doctor at a pain management clinic or a behavioral therapist. Learn more prescription drug details here. Are there any questions or comments?

I am a methadone patient and want to travel to New York . Am I able to bring it in the country ? ## Hello, Shivvybiv! How are you? As long as you have a valid prescription from your doctor and keep it in the original labeled container that you receive from your doctor, or pharmacy, the U.S. allows you to bring in up to a 3 month supply. Learn more Methadone details here. But it is a controlled substance here, so as I said, you do have to have the proper documentation from your doctor, if there are any doubts, customs will seize it. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I answered this already but left out helpful info. You forgot to mention they won't let known drug addicts into tge US so you can't say it's MMT. Day chronic pain. Also definitely a letter but leave anyth...

I'm looking for Sufacol Power in the White Plains, NY area. Can someone help? ## Hi Pierre, I am not sure where you can obtain Sulfacol powder (Sulfadiazine) in your area. I've checked to see if it is available on line but haven't had any luck. It may be most helpful to check with your local pharmacy to see if they carry it. It would require a prescription however, and you'd have to see a doctor regardless of the situation. Maybe you can ask him if he's heard of it during your appointment? Need a dr that understands anxiety. This is from after the birth of my son and 1 mg barely takes away my issue. I need a dr that is non judgmental and willing to help. I'm on Long Island... And just want to get through this. I am not addicted to these at all, but when my anxiety is bad. I can't function. Please help. ## All doctors are judgmental. You should be able to find a Doctor that can assist you in a big area like New York? ## Eddy, if it were only that easy! I'm bear NYC, but I really have to stay local. Plus you can be viewed as a dr shopper so easily... I'm just trying to find one non judgements and willing to treat me!!!! Hi I just moved to the New York area and I am looking for a new pain management doctor I was in an automobile accident 3 1/2 years ago and I have ruptured disc's in my back. I have been on strong pain medications which really helped but my problem is with me moving and all I need to find a new pain management doctor who will accept cash because I have no insurance. I do have all my records and mri so any help given would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ## Hello, Cindy! How are you? Most pain management doctors will not accept an uninsured patient, due to the fact that it makes it far too easy for someone to doctor and pharmacy hop. On the rare occasions that a doctor does prescribe, most pharmacies won't fill said prescriptions for the same reason. Have you looked into getting...

My client is unable to find a pharmacy which will supply tincture of opium. ## From what I could gather on the topic, "recent enforcement action by the FDA against manufacturers of paregoric and opium tincture suggests that opium tincture's availability in the U.S. may be in jeopardy." It is still actually available, today, by prescription, but in a more purified form and is only prescribed under certain strict medical criteria. You can learn more about it here: Listed below is a pharmacy-locator site that uses your zip code to find nearby pharmacies within a given mile range: Phone numbers and addresses are included in the list after you verify your zip code; so I would suggest calling a number of them to see if anyone can fill your client's prescription. I am an NYC resident and I have a legal script but i am having trouble filling it. Does anyone know of any place that has the medication? ## Unfortunately no, I am very sorry that you're having trouble getting it filled, I hate to see anyone end up miserable, but it isn't like to change until several weeks into the new year. There are almost always shortages of controlled substance medications towards the end of the year, due to mandatory manufacturing limits. Learn more Oxycontin details here. Do you have health insurance? If so, the best suggestion I can make is to see if they have a preferred mail order prescription provider that you can use. They don't usually have as many customers and may still have a supply in stock. ## I live in near Middletown, NY. I have been havin...

I have had 4 nerve blocks, trigger point injections, and allergic reaction to suboxone and fentalyn for three herniated discs lower back. I had to go back to oxycontin. My doctor has stopped taking workers' comp and I can't find another pain management doctor that will prescribe meds. I have been told that an operation cannot guarantee being pain free, and may make me worse, which I can't imagine living with. My life is consumed with living with this, and the government should stay out of the doctor patient relationship or question it for people who do not use drugs recreationally or abuse them. Government is scaring doctors away from treating the people who desperately need them. Does anyone know a pain management doctor in Nassau County, South Shore near Oceanside? Thanks ...

I am trying to find Pain Management in the Albany New York area. I have been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and have had the injections done, which do not help at all. My neurosurgeon, primary care Dr., and myself have been trying to find a doctor in the area that will help me with pain medication. I didn't think it would be this difficult. I even have the support of my current doctors, but for some reason, its not easy to find one for pain medication. At this point, its not even a matter of insurance. I don't care if I have to pay. I just cant handle this pain. I am actually having surgery(fusion) this coming week and still have to find pain management. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ## Hello, Jay! How are you? trying to find a list of doctors in New York City that can prescribe suboxene and accept medicaid ## Hello, Jerryman! How are you? There is a search feature on the website at Suboxone.com click here that you can use to search by zip code for doctors in your area. Their contact information will be included, so you can check to see if they are taking new patients and accept your insurance. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been abusing opiates for the last 5-6 years and I've tried a million times using suboxone to try and get off of it but I just can't bring myself to get sick enough to where I can take it, and the very few times I have it didn't work and made me sicker I'm guessing because my tolerance is so high. I desperately need to find subutex but am hearing from some people that doctors only prescribe suboxone now but I just don't believe it. Been suffering some really occasional but acute panic attacks and anxiety lately and am looking for the quick fix. I know that stuff is hard to come by. Does anyone know of an MD willing to prescribe either in New York or Long Island. For a sure thing I would even be willing to drive to jersey. Much thanks in advance! ## Hello, Matt! How are you? If you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a specialist, so it would be necessary for you to go to a psychiatrist. Due to the new regulations that were set forth by the DEA last year, a general practitioner won't prescribe it for you. And most doctor's aren't going to just want you to go for the quick fix, they will also want you to try other options and participate in a treatment plan. The...
