I was prescribe alprazolam 1mg, by my doctor. I always been taking 0.5 mg peach pill made by Sandoz, always feel good on them. I moved and doctor was over hour away, he advise me to split the pill in half to make it 0.5 mg, this way I will have supply for longer period of time. Also I change pharmacy, when I fill my prescription, I recived blue pills made by Dava, I was splitting them up to 2016, I feel good on them to some time, and after few months they start to have wierd effect on me, I was more deppresed, start having some difficulty breathing, anxiety, panick attacks, I stop sleeping at night, they did help little but not much any more, and now I run from them, and have to find new doctor in town. OK, so I have some red xanax bars. They are a light red color and they are a round shape. I take 1mg (Blue) Alprazolam almost everyday. I always get my prescriptions from the same pharmacy. So I went to get my prescriptions and they told me it was 1 day too early, when I knew it wasn't so I took my prescriptions to another pharmacy that I've used before and they filled them with 1mg (Yellow) Alprazolam. My question is had anyone ever noticed a difference between these two medications that are Supposed to be the same??? When I finally had to take one of the Yellow ones, it didn't seem to work nearly as well as the Blue? Is it just me??? Def my fav of the sticks, except the yellow ones. I've been taking this medication for over 14 years and yet to EVER have a Name BRAND STICK, so I cant compare any generic to it, but I've had name brand .25 .5 and 1mg. To be honest I like the sandoz generics better than the name brand ones. Dava 2mgs are a good generic as well. So I think a name brand stick wouldn't be that effective either compared to a dava or sandoz. Right? ## I always get the 2 mg bars with Xanax right on the back. Or the Circle ones from Walmart. I also prefer the Diazapam with the V on one side. Benzos aren't worth the trouble to me. My doctor keeps telling me that there is no such thing as Xanax xr, but I have been on them before, so I'm confused!?! I took these 2mg Alprazolam bars, like a lot of you said- the generic for Xanax. I have taken generics for tons of meds over the yrs & I've never had this happen. But, I swear I had other people at the pharmacy say the white 2mg Alprazolams do NOT work well. I was on half the dose b 4, getting the 1mg "footballs" (people call em that) and I swear 1 of the 1mg Alprazolams worked WAY better for me. I've also hears if you get the 2mg bars, ask them for the green or yellow. They've worked much better than the white bars. Good luck.
