is the yellow pill watson 853 as strong as the blue watson 540 ## The tablet with the WATSON 853 marking contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Hydrocodone. The tablet with the WATSON 540 contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Hydrocodone. So, they both contain the same amount of the active narcotic, Hydrocodone, but they do not contain the same amount of Acetaminophen, which improves the effect of the narcotic. Is there anything else I can help with? ## does 7.5 hydrocodone come in yellow I find the yellow hydro far superior to the white pill

I have been taking the yellow vicks with a v nd a 3606 or something well I just recently got these yellowish brownish looking watson 853 I've never seen them I've had the m357 I've had regular up ones and the white watson 853 but these are not solid yellow the have like a brownish tint to them has anyone ever had them? ## Hi Leo, I haven't had these one's in particular before, but from what I've researched, legitimate Watson 853 tabs should either be white or solid yellow in color. If they are brownish, I'd personally be hard pressed to think they were real unless you did in fact obtain them from a licensed pharmacy (which wasn't made clear in your post)? Manufacturers can change the physical appearance of their pills without prior notice and depending on...

I've been taking the Watson 853 yellow hydro /acetaminophen for several years. I get them from a well known pharmacy company. My most recent script was filled and I noticed the color was white, even though the markings of Watson 853 are identical to the light yellow pill. There was a huge difference in side effects with the new pill; constipation, dry mouth, and a little nasal congestion that I typically get from preservatives like sulfites. Many people get these symptoms when taking narcotics, but I have been fortunate with the hydrocodone as it has never affected me that way (oxycodone does however) I called the pharmacist and he said he couldn't get the yellow tabs anymore but wouldn't say one way or the other whether the formulation or fillers in the white pill differ fr...

I have been taking this medication for 5 years. I experience no difference between the yellow ones or the white ones. I think that some people may be building up a tolerance and that is why they believe the formula has changed, when you n fact they have simply just removed the dye. Discuss your concerns with your doctor. ## Hello, Jkerr! How are you? I'm very glad that this medication is still working for you. There can be slight fluctuations from one generic to another and some people are sensitive to any slight change, so they may find that it doesn't work as well for them. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I might have fake hydrocodone/acetaminophen pills. They r yellow n have the imprint watson 853. I need a way to find out if they are really counterfeit. Size? weight? Would be really helpful. When I took em I feel a little floaty but I think it's not the effect I should have gotten from taking 2 of em. I got them from my friend. What do u guys think? ## What effect are you expecting? Not all narcotics cause a high effect in everyone that takes them, it may happen with some and not others. And it's very dangerous to take any of them, if they haven't been prescribed for you by your doctor. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I've found it difficult to get this across because the line being towed by pharmasists and drug companies is a disciplined one.. You might get an honest answer from an independently owned pharmacy pharmasist.. But the truth is there are in many cases huge differences in generics and brands.. Ask yourself why a brand is $150 to the gen. $4.00..?? What confuses me is why isn't the public at large more sure of this crooked racket.. I've got nerve damage and have been on Norco for years. This is a great drug to hold up as an example of the nastiness being practiced. Now you won't find wide ranging discrepancies in heart meds or blood pressure meds but you absolutely will within the opioid and benzo family of meds. If you really want the truth ask your doctor, they know.. Tha...

No worries people, the yellow 853 are exactly the same as the white one's, JUST NO DYE ## For anyone else wondering, I can also confirm that "dye" is the only thing separating these two pills. I have always taken the Watson 853 yellow pill and for some reason I was just given Watson 853 white pills. What is going on? Why the color difference? ## It seems from other posts made on here recently that Watson is just removing the dyes from some of their products. There have been some complaints from people that have had sensitivity or allergic reactions to them, so they have been doing away with them. However, as long as the imprint is the same and your pharmacy has listed it as being the same medication and the same dosage, then you shouldn't have any reason to worry. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Not the same for sure! ## I have experienced poor results with the white pills. If they are different and labelled the same then walgreens is liable for damages! ## ...
