I would like to know about this oblong bright yellow pill I found and whether my son could be abusing it or if he's doing something else? ## Lori, By law the FDA requires that any controlled medication in the United States be identifiable by its appearance (color, imprint, shape, size etc.). With that being said the pill that you found could be a supplement, vitamin, a foreign drug or illegal substance. It is extremely difficult to identify any of those based off of just the outer appearance of a pill due to the sheer volume of brands and types of vitamins and supplements available in the U.S. If you want to know about the contents of the pill you can try bringing it to your local pharmacy and see if they are able to identify the contents inside, otherwise you can drop the pill off ...

I was told 7.5 vicodin no imprint because it was generic, true? ## Hello, Avedon! How are you? No, that is not true. Even generic prescription tablets in the U.S. are required to have imprints to enable their identification, in case of emergency. If it has no imprint, it is most likely some type of over the counter product. I'll do some searching and post back, if I find anything that matches this description. Does anyone else recognize this tablet? The FDA classifies Vicodin as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Red and yellow capsule - NO imprint at all. Maybe an antibiotic or Cipro...... ## I don't think this pill was manufactured in the U.S., as it has no letter or number imprints. U.S. law requires that all prescription drugs have unique letters or numbers (sometimes in addition to a logo of some kind) imprinted on the tablets or capsules so the medication can be identified by manufacturer, substance and dosage. However, the way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, so there could be many, many pills on the market, both over the counter or prescription that could meet that physical description. Unless you obtained this pill on the street, the only other thing I can suggest is that you try asking your local doctor or pharmacist for more information.

May have been for my Bishon. ## Yes, it contains 100mgs of Cefpodoxil which is an an antibiotic that is used to treat bacterial infections in dogs. 8 on one side and 10 on the other ## Found out this yellow round pill letters or numbers are not visible on front but back there is a line can you help me to know what this is??? ## @Post #1 (Kathy) - You mentioned that the letters or numbers on your pill were not visible and that it was also round in shape. However, the original thread question speaks of an "oblong" yellow pill with an 8 on one side and a 10 on the other. So I'm just wondering if you are trying to say that you think your pill is this one? Without being able to make out the imprint this could be anyone's best guess. But from what I can gather, it seems to me as though this yellow "oblong" tablet is either no longer being made in the US or perhaps not of US origin. Reason I've come to this con...

Please tell my husband that my white oblong pills w/ U 17 on one side which I know for a fact are substituted for Percocet 10-325 mg tablets cuz it says so on my Rx bottle are the real deal & tell me what's the difference in mine & the yellow ones my mom used to get. ## Yes, this tablet is manufactured by Aurolife Pharma and they list them as containing 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, this is a generic for Percocet, which is a narcotic pain reliever. The yellow ones are manufactured by a different company, which is very common with generics. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have a oblong shaped pill from Pakistan that is supposed to be Hydrocodone but it isn't. It is imprinted with a Capital W or M in cursive script on one side and just scored on the other ## Unfortunately, there are no databases for pills from most countries. The U.S. is a rare exception, Canada still keeps a database, but it's no longer publicly available. Where did you obtain it? I know there's one with a marking like this that's oblong and yellow, which contains Meloxicam, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, but I am not familiar with a pink one. I have a pill i need to identify, it is dark yellow (mustard), oblong shaped and has 4 squares engraved into the pill on one side, there is no marking on the other side, it was prescribed the same time as a ferous Sulphate pill if that helps, i believe it is a vitamin of some kind but I cannot reember the name. ## I'm sorry, but that is a very vague imprint and I can't find anything in our prescription drug databases that match it. Is it possible that, even thought it was a prescription, it was something normally available over the counter? If so, that would explain why it can't be found. Have you tried contacting the pharmacy where you purchased it? They should have record of it and what it contains.

I found a yellow oblong pill with no writing on it. It was in a foil case of 5. The foil also had no writing.. ## I have an oval pale yellow pill, scored on one side but no print on the other. Could this be a generic xanax? And if so, what mg? ## No, in the U.S. and Canada, all manufactured prescription medications, whether generic or name brand, must have unique imprints on them to enable their identification in case of emergency. Thus, it is most likely that a tablet without an imprint is an over the counter product of some type. However, these is also a small chance that it could be a foreign medication. Are there any comments or questions?

I found a Yellow Oblong pill with no markings the inside is a sandy brown.. i cant find out what it is ## If you found it and are considering taking it looking for a high I don't recommend it. I did that once, lost consciousness and ended up left in a field because people thought I ODed and died. Nice, huh. People do stupid things when they are afraid. ## Without a distinct imprint code on the tablet it is nearly impossible to know what it is for sure without running a lab test. Do you have any other clues such as a manufacturer / product packaging / country of origin? ## Did you ever figure it out? I have yellow oblong pill with 48 on one side and either D or A on the other side.
