I started taking Minastrin when Loestrin was discontinued. My doctor assured me that it was the best choice because all of the ingredients were the same. I had zero side effects on Loestrin..so I went with it. Now every time I have intercourse with my boyfriend I get a yeast infection. Currently I have a yeast infection/vaginal irritation that WILL NOT go away. (Haven't had intercourse for 6 weeks...and yes, been tested for STIs) I've been prescribed 3 different medications and I've seen 4 different doctors. I've stopped taking Minastrin and will begin LoLoestrin soon. Has anyone else experienced a problem like this on Minastrin? And most important, did the yeast infections every go away!? ## Hello, Lindsay! How are you? Are they certain that it's a yeast infection? ...

Does anyone know what the pink pill is that is for yeast infection and you only have to take one.......I don't know anything more today. ## Diflucan - your doctor will know what it is and you can only get it with a prescription. Here is a web site - www.yeast-infection-remedies.com/candida-diflucan.html ## Though it can't be definitively said without knowing the markings, Diflucan would also have been my best guess, since it is available in a single dose, pink tablet for treating yeast infections. It contained the active ingredient Fluconazole, and is now also available as a generic under this name and some pharmacies even include it on their $4 discounted medications formulary. Are there any questions or comments? There are more Diflucan details available here.

About three months ago I had a yeast infection and the doctor gave me canex v,and the infection went away after using it.The infection is back now.what could be the corse of that and can I use canex v once again? ## Yeast infections can have various causes… Are you on any medications, or were you on an antibiotic recently? Many drugs can throw off the PH of your body and kill the good bacteria, so yeast can grow out of control. Do you swim a lot? Do you take a lot of tub baths, or soak in a hot tub? The chemicals used in pools and spas, or in tap water can also throw off the PH, killing good bacteria. Do you use douche regularly? Douche can do the same as the chemicals I mentioned above. Do you engage in intercourse regularly? If so, your partner may be infected and need to be tre...

What kind of anti-fungal cream can I use for this? I am in my 1st trimester of pregnancy. ## Hello, Revathi! How are you? Congratulations on the baby! I have a yeast infection in my esophgus and my former Dr. did not give me this. Is this product correct ## Hi Bob, I was unable to locate specific details on the combination of these three medications, but I did look up each one individually to get an idea of what their used for: Nystatin is used to treat fungal infections of the skin, mouth, vagina, and intestinal tract. Hydrocortisone is used to relieve the itching, redness, dryness, crusting, scaling, inflammation, and discomfort of various skin conditions. Diphenhydramine is used to relieve red, irritated, itchy, watery eyes; sneezing; and runny nose caused by hay fever, allergies, or the common cold. i am talking about fluconazole for yeast infection and also i am about to take nitrofur-macro for urinary tract infection, but i am not sure if it's ok to take it concurrently. ## My findings state that there are potentially unsafe interactions that apply to fluconazole & nitrofurantoin. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Using fluconazole together with nitrofurantoin may increase the risk of liver and lung toxicity. This may be more likely to occur in older adults or those with a debilitating condition. Talk with your doctor before using these medications together. Call the doctor if you have side effects such as cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, or pain. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins an...

I have been using Clotrimazole betamethazone for 2 weeks for vaginal topical yeast infection. I now have small white pimple bumps and it doesn't seem that the cream has helped at all. What is the name of the OTC medication you're considering and what are the active ingredients? I'm not sure if you're allowed to take probiotics, but doing so may be able to prevent yeast infections in the future by reinstating good bacteria in your body.
