I'm currently on purbac antibiotic for my acne and it's been a month now but is it safe for me to use the contraceptive pill while I'm on the antibiotics ## Hello, Sanny! How are you? It isn't dangerous to take them both, but Purbac can reduce the efficacy of oral contraceptives, so you'll need to use another form of contraceptive, as long as your being treated with the Purbac. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Yasmin may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, breakthrough bleeding and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?

I want to know more about it ## I LOVE Yasmin. I have been taking it for a long time. I have tried other BCP, but none work as well for me as this one. My gyno has me taking them continuously and I stop every 3 months and have a cycle, so I have a period 4 times a year which is WONDERFUL. I bloat a little bit, just when I stop to have it and also cramp, but its only 4 times a year! Hope this helps! ## Why do I have spotting after taking Yasmin pills? I'm not finished with my one pack of Yasmin yet and I'm so worried... I have 3 tablets of Yasmin left. I'm not pregnant so please give me advice.

Hi , I've just started using Oralcon from using Yasmin. Is there a big difference between the two ? Because I am worried it might have a different effect as it is cheaper ? ## I switched from Yasmin to oralcon. Is it safe to just change or will it effect me hormonally? What day can i start taking a pill if i will switch to another pill? I took the last lady pill yesterday? Can i start taking yasmin on the sunday mark even if its not sunday? ## Yes, unless your doctor instructs otherwise, you can just make a clean switch from one to the other on the day you are due to start a new pack. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, spotting, and PMS-like symptoms. Are you on any other medications?

I have been prescribed calvepen 666 mG for tonsillitis and am currently taking the contraceptive pill yasmin. My question is will the antibiotics interfere with the effectiveness of the pill? white pills with DB on one side nothing on the other side, easily broken in two ## Hi Sammy, Is there any chance that the letters could be "DP" instead of DB? And are they inside of a hexagon? If so, the round white pill you're describing is reported to be a birth control tablet by the name of Yasmin (drospirenone + ethinyl estradiol). However I noticed you also mentioned that it is easily broken in two... Does this mean that there may be a score line as well? Thanks for any additional info you can provide!

Found small round peach pill with a hexagon(6 sided shape) on the front with the letters DO or D0 in the inside of the shape, the other side is blank ## I located a match with a yellow, round pill with DO inside a hexagon. It's Drospirenone 3 mg and Eththinyl Estradiol 0.03 mg, which are active ingredients in Yaz, Yasmin and other forms of birth controls.
