I was prescribed this med. I was taking percoect also. I have chronic neck, back and knee pain. I dont like it at all !!! It does get rid of the pain but the side effects are horrible for me. I experienced mild to no side effects with the percoect. This new medicine I get head aches, severe constipation, nausea, major drowsiness and over all I just feel bad. I hope this helps you out and that you dont experience any of this. ## Hello, Jay man! How are you feeling? I'm very sorry about the problems that you're having. However, if you've stopped the regular release Percocet to switch to this, then that may be contributing to your symptoms. They are the same, both contain Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, it's just that the Xartemis is time released. This is a narcotic analgesic, s...

Almost as soon as I took the first dose of one pill, I started feeling nauseated. I stopped after three doses, and, four days later, am still very sick to my stomach. It's a shame because it did help with the pain, but I can't remain glued to the house for fear of having to run to the bathroom. Does anyone know how long it takes for this to pass completely out of your system? If it helps to know, I'm a middle-aged woman weighing about 110 lbs. Well, that's what I usually weigh; I've lost several pounds in the past few days. ## Wow! It's odd for it to still be lingering after a few days of not taking it. Have you had any improvement, yet? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness...

I have been in chronic pain for many years since childhood. I am hearing impaired and suffered ear pain for as long as I could remember. I have Meniere Disease. I have migraines so severe I was hospitalized and went through every medication for migraines, luckily Botox was FDA approved for effective treatment for migraines. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, which is common for those who have suffered chronic pain and it is not a "pretend" disease. For fibromyalgia, I have tried tried lyrica, cymbalta, and savella which caused severe allergic reactions. I was up to 4,800 mg of neurontin (gabapentin), which was way above recommended dose and needed to be hospitalized to wean me off this drug. In 2015, I was prescribed Xartemis and found it so beneficial in controlling my pain for...

Can anyone help me find a pharmacy that stocks xartemis xr in Norman, ok? It's not so brand new anymore but the 4 aces I've tried have looked at me like I'm speaking a foreign language or making up the name. I'm getting a bit concerned. Is it really that rare?? ## If they aren't seeing your actual written prescription, then it isn't likely that you are getting an honest answer. Due to high rates of theft, they do not provide honest information to those who ask, they will most often say they haven't heard of the given medication, or that they don't carry it. The only way to receive an honest answer is by actually going to the pharmacy with your prescription in hand. Xartemis XR is an opiate analgesic, the FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit f...

I was just prescribed Xartemis XR for chronic back pain. I am used to taking Percocet 10/325 four times a day. Looking for people who can compare the efficacy of the drug. How it can be instant and extended relief. Thanks. ## Hello, Seymour! How are you? It's the way the medication is designed, a certain portion is released as soon as you swallow it, then it slowly swells as it absorbs your gastric fluid to gradually release the rest. It contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I was wondering if there were any reviews from others who have taken it. I have read about it and how...

Trying to find xartemis xr in alexandria va help please ## Hello, Justin! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no directory of which pharmacies have any given medication in stock that I can refer to for you. How have you been checking for it? Since this is a narcotic analgesic, you'll need to go to the pharmacies in person, with the prescription in hand to get an honest answer. If you just call, they have no way of knowing if you're a legitimate customer with a need, or a potential thief. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Did you try asking if they can order it in for you?

I've been on this med for 7 seven months it only helps me a very little. I have two seventy mm rods and six screws in spine.good luck.. ## Xartemis contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, it is a narcotic pain reliever. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Have you been calling the pharmacies to ask if they carry it? If so, most pharmacist will just automatically say they don't, since they have no way of knowing if the person on the phone is a legitimate perso...

Dr prescribed Xartemis XR for pain in herniated discs in cervical spine. Then the following day prescribed me Diclofenac Sod EC 50mg for the same condition. I had these filled at two different pharmacys. Now my concern is are these ok to be taken together? ## Hello, Susan! How are you? Where they prescribed by the same doctor? It seems rather odd to prescribe both, especially in time released formulations, though it can be done, if there are specific reasons to do so, such as a lot of swelling. Xartemis contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen in a time released formulation. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. While the Diclofenac EC is an extended release non...

I think my my drug store gave me generic instead of my regular brand name of OxyContin and charged me the same price ## Hello, Poopoo! How are you? At this time, there is no generic available for it. There is Oxycontin, which should have an OP on one side and 40 on the other side of the tablet, which is manufactured by Purdue Pharma and there is Xartemis, which is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, I believe there are couple others the FDA has approved, but they are not commonly available, yet. However, all are name brand medications, in time released formulations, with abuse deterrent features. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. What are the m...
