I am going oversesa tomorrow and my doctor changed me from Cartia to start today on Xarelto for the duration of my trip and then return to Cartia after a couple of days when i am home.My question is i took the 1st tablet this morning around 8am wIth my breakfast by 10 am i had pain in my left leg at the back probably say calf area. If this is a normal reaction thats fine just checking because of flying tomorrow i had a walk with support stockings and it felt better just still fèel it off and on while I am sitting down looking forward to hearing from you ## Why the switch? Does anyone know if it's ok to fly with a PE while taking Xarelto? My friend has been taking the drug for 2 weeks and needs to travel. She is consulting her doctor tomorrow about whether it is ok or if she will have to drive instead of fly. ## Usually, flying is not a good idea, due to the pressure changes, as well as how long one must remain seated, which increases the risk of clots, according to the NIH. When I had congestive heart failure, it was quite awhile, before my cardiologist gave me approval to fly. Is it possible for her to drive, rather than fly?
