Xarelto Side Effects Like Weakness And Pain

Leg burning, weakness, inability to walk

My father started on Xarelto this past week for Afib and within 2 days gradually started developing bilateral thigh, groin and buttock burning/pain progressing to inability to walk 2 additional days later and severe pain. He is normally a very active person. Has anyone experienced this? ## Hello, Greg! How is your father doing? Has there been any change? The FDA does list those types of symptoms as being possible side effects. He may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising. Side effects are typically transient and go away with time, once your body gets used to a medication, however, given the severity, I think his doctor should be informed as this may not be the right medication for him.
