ive been anticoagulated for 8 years. recently switched from lovenox to xarrelto. i am hoping the weight gain and the hairloss will diminish as i am lifelong on an anticoagulent. does anybody else know if these side effects end? ## Hello, Beatrice! How are you? No, from what others have said who also experienced it, such side effects do not go away. Many people have actually been unhappy with Xarelto and had to switch off of it. It may also cause joint/muscle aches and headaches. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I forgot to tell you people that being on Xarelto also has caused me to lose my hair. This has never happened to me before. ## Yes...me too. Hair loss, joint pain & weight gain on Xarelto has been acute and troublesome, for sure.

I have been taking xarelto for 5 months and have lost 28 pounds without any change in diet. It's not a bad thing as I needed to lose some weight. I am assuming it is from the drug. Has this happened to anyone else? ## Hi Rob, I haven't found any record of weight loss on Xarelto's list of side effects from the US National Institute of Health. However they do list "loss of appetite" which could inherently bring about weight loss... The only discrepancy here is that you said you didn't change your diet... So if you're not eating less (from a loss of appetite) then that is definitely a mystery to me... If anything, at least it's good to hear that the weight loss has been a welcomed side effect. I just hope it all balances out when you reach that comfortable s...

I have been on 20mg xarelto for almost 3 months now after having a DVT come up. I am supposed to have an ultrasound at the end of the month to see if the clot is gone so that I can stop taking it. I have multiple side effects happening. I have numbness and tingling in my feet, where it started and now it is moved up my leg to mid thigh as well as my hands and now moved up to my biceps. I teach yoga, work out daily and have been noticing a distended belly and weight gain for sure. I notice if I keep my arms bent for too long it cuts off circulation and my hands go numb which wakes me up at night and have also had pain between my shoulders regularly that I thought was just from spending too much time at my computer but am now wondering if it has to do with the drug. I am hoping that my cl...

I take Xarelto 20 mg per day. I take it because I am a Factor V Leiden. Would there be any side affects if I started to take this TruVision pill for weight loss and energy. Thank you. ## @Lala Lennon, Sorry to hear about your Factor V Leiden clotting disorder. I truly hope that one day you'll wake up to find relief from it. Concerning possible side effects from taking TruVision, I think that's unfortunately something which can only be determined through trial and error - because we don't know how our body will react or respond to anything until we try it (whether you have a pre diagnosed condition or not). Everyone is just different in that regard. Having said this, posted below is a list of ingredients found in TruVision products: Alpha Lipoic Acid, Chlorogenic Acid, Chromi...

Hello Everyone, My husband has been taking Xarelto for 11 days for a DVT discovered due to an unrelated nerve issue in his lower right leg. Since being on the meds he complains of being nauseous and doesn't feel like eating which is causing weight loss. He is also extremely fatigued. He feels tired, weak and has some tingling in his arms, legs.....also says that he feels "jittery" (he isn't shaking physically, but feels jittery). Has anyone else experienced any of these side effects? Do they improve? Thanks for any help that you can provide. We are very worried about all of this. ## Yes, those can be side effects of this medication according to FDA reports. However, they are usually transient and tend to go away, once someone's body gets used to the medication, but t...

I am currently taking Xarelto 20mg (for dvt) and know that there aren't many restrictions related to herbs and supplements. I have used evolution leanmode in the past for exercise and weight loss. Does anyone know anything about it? here is the ingredient list, please let me know if you think its safe: GREEN COFFEE BEAN EXTRACT (500mg) ... CLA (500mg) ... ACETYL-L-CARNITINE (500mg) ... GARCINIA CAMBOGIA EXTRACT (500mg) Sourced from the tropical fruit also known as tamarind, contains premium 60% Hydroxycitric Acid (HCA) level. GREEN TEA EXTRACT (250mg) Thanks and all the best to all! ## Just to err on the side of caution it may be best to bring this up with the...
