I have been on xarelto for two months now after a PE was found in my left lung. The only side effect was a consistent cough but doctor seemed to think that was due to the PE. That cough is now gone. Are there any side effects when getting the two together other than a risk of brusing and bleeding? ## I have posted the same question. Did you have botox while taking xyralto? If so how did it go? ## According to the University of Maryland's drug interaction tool, there are no interactions listed between Botox and Xarelto. This is not to say that no interactions exist, but based on their research it seems to me that this is not a concern. However, I would still encourage you to talk with your doctor just to get a second opinion. I took 15 mg for 21 days. Then doc wrote script for 6 mos of 15 mg again. I thought it was supposed to go up to 20 mg once a day. Is it normal to have blood clots during period while taking xarelto? ## Yes, your period may also be heavier and last longer than usual. However, if it gets severely heavy and/or continues for too long of a time period, you should seek medical attention. I was prescribed this med. I was taking percoect also. I have chronic neck,back and knee pain. I dont like it at all !!! It does get rid of the pain but the side effects are horrible for me. I experienced mild to no side effects with the percoect. This new medicine I get head aches, severe constipation,nausea,major drowsiness and over all I just feel bad. I have been taking xarelto 20 mg for 5 months for blood clot in right leg,and today got a cramp in my left culf and can't Getrid of pain.any advise?! ## If the pain is much worse when you flex and raise your toes, you should go to the emergency room. That is a sign of a blood clot. Im assuming you mean calf. That is what happened to me and I ignored it until I ended up in the hospital with multiple clots in my lung. I am also on xarelto now. They told me if I have calf pain I need to be checked immediately.

You should check with your doctor, before taking anything, but you should be okay to take Tylenol. Just not any of the NSAIDs, such as Advil or Aleve, since they can increase the risk of bleeding. I've been on xarelto for 2 months following dvt in my leg. I take 20 mg a day. In addition to almost constant headaches I now feel faint, tired, and my pinky finger feels numb. Just started xarelto 8 days ago for dvt. I have a dairy intolerance and have begun getting esophageal spasms and stomach cramps again. (My normal reaction to dairy). i saw that xarelto contains lactose. Can I take a lactaid with it? Within 3 days of taking 20mg of xarelto I could not move. Back pain, spasms and muscle stiffness was horrible. Informed cardiologist who disregarded my complaints. Have been off xarelto 8 months and still suffering from back pain and stiffness. It is unknown if this is permanent. I hope to God that is not the case. Anyone concerned about the new legal cases and their allegations? Woke up the one morning with calf pain, no swelling, redness or warmth. I can kick myself ... I am on the tail end of my xarelto and I have taken a Advil by mistake should I be freaking out right nowrú. ## Hope you are feeling ok. I took aspirin once and there were no problems. They want you to avoid drugs that can cause stomach bleeding. My guess is you are ok today. ## Yes I am ok I was scared because of the warnings ## It needs to be noted here that it's not just stomach bleeding, but any increased risk of bleeding, which most NSAIDs, such as Advil can cause. If you require any type of medical care, or get a cut within a few days of taking the Advil, make sure to let medical personnel know. I have a n option to switch to Xarelto 10 mg twice daily from Claxin injection 0.8 ml twice daily for the next 5 months. I am undergoing chemotherapy (BEP) post removal of my testicular cancer. Question is if this drug is considered safe for such long durations? what are the side effects? ## I have been on Xarelto since Feb '13 due to multiple Pulmonary Emboli nada clotting disorder that Coumadin just wasn't working for. Knock on wood, to date I have had no problem whatsoever.
