I have panic attacks and high anxiety, but where l live l can't find a dr to help me. They all know mental health drugs and l will not take mental health pills. Can you give me some suggestions? I have been taking alprazolam under different generic name brands. I have now been given the Dava manufacturing brand and have been getting a swollen tongue, mouth, and throat. I had been taking Zoloft for about a year along with Xanax(for about 2 months) and it didn't help me a lot, but i felt that i couldn't control my appetite anymore when i stopped this treatment, though i didn't gain or lost weight during the treatment, but i noticed that when i was decreasing the dosage i lost 6 lbs. ## Zoloft is being recalled by the FDA for being a critical health hazard for woman and their babies, I just can't believe how many women are putting their lives at risk.

According to the NIH, that can happen to some people with most anxiety medications and antidepressants. It also carries the risk of being habit forming and a sudden abrupt withdrawal can create the risk of seizures, according to the FDA. Can I take Xanax to offset the side effects of Buspar? I only took 2.5 mg (yes, that's 2.5, not 25)twice a day for one day and had a number of bad side effects. This tablet is manufactured by Greenstone Limited and they list it as containing 100mgs of Sertraline, which is an SSRI antidepressant that can also be used to treat anxiety. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain. I also take zetia and diltiaz and metoprolol for high cholesterol. Total chol count is 221,HDL38,LDL121 and Tri 211. Had triple bypass in 2008. I am allergic to all statin drugs. I began taking Xanax in 1982. I have been abusing it more and more over the years. I can now take 14 mg and not even tell it. I can stop taking it with no withdrawals. It's like I am immune to it. For the past two years I have been experiencing a lack of cognition, forgetfullness, and general fatigue. I've been taking Xanax brand name for panic attacks and anxiety as needed, not regularly, for the past five years. I've never increased my dose of frequency of taking this med at any point, and am not physically dependent at all. Up until last month ago, the label had always said it was manufactured by "Pharmacia" or "Pharmacia/Upjohn". For years they worked fantastically with no sleepiness or other side effects. I have been talking diazepam and sometimes xanax for about 5 years, usually to relax and help me sleep, but the odd time they would make you feel angry and a bad temper, anyone else have this issue? ## I blame my anger on the guy running our Country, but perhaps you might need a mood stabilizer like an SSRI? This particular pill had different side effects vs every other xanax I have been prescribed. It literally messed up my taste buds so badly that everything I drank for up to 24 hours after taking tasted absolutely disgusting. I'm not sure why this happened because I have been taking this medication for my tachycardia for years now. can I take a zanax with a 10/325 hhdrocodone ## Dorothy yes it may just make you really sleepy ## @Dorothy (original poster), Based on my research involving drug interactions, I actually wouldn't recommend having Hydrocodone with Xanax. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, "it may just make you really sleepy" is a large understatement by post #1. Apparently using the two together can also increase your risk of certain side effects including but not limited to slurred speech, confusion, dizziness, slow/shallow breathing, and impaired cognitive function. Better to play it safe and let your doctor decide what might be best!

Hello, my name is Michelle E and my Dr. Has been prescribing them for a while now but I just don't take them cuz I don't want them to affect me in anyway but I just can't sleep at night my mind is always over thinking, always nervous and have alot of anxiety. I take gabapentin 100mg several times a day for anxiety. I also take 6 milligrams of Xanax and 90 milligrams of adderall. Is it safe to be taking these medications together? ## Hello, David! Could someone please tell me if Ativan can cause glazing look in the eyes? ## Absolutely, it is a Benzodiapine, the same drug class as Xanax or Valium. It tends to cause an initial spaciness in people who have not adjusted to taking the med, or have recently experienced a dosage change. These type of side effects usually wear off in about 2 weeks, give or take a few days to account for a person's individual body chemistry and the way it may process a medication. Aside from the sedative effect of Xanax and alcohol, someone told me that some patients prescribed narcotics take Xanax to increase the narcotic effects? Is this true? ## Soma is a big favorite with narcotic patients but sure, it is accurate to say that Xanax does cause this effect to some degree. ## People abuse benzodiazepines. It’s a bad idea though. Take too many and you won’t even remember what you did. And it does intensify the effect of opiates and tends to increase one's risk of overdosing because of this. Hi all, I've started retaking lorazepam temporarily until my xanax prescription comes in. I originally went off lorazepam a year ago because it affected my stomach. I am not sure how to describe it. It doesn't hurt, not diarrhea or constipation, but it immediately starts feeling uncomfortable once the lorazepam kicks in. I told my psych but he acted like that was an unusual side effect, and made it seem like I must be misunderstanding an actual side effect. I wish I could describe it better but my stomach without fail will feel uncomfortable after taking lorazepam and eating food on top of it makes me feel worse.
