Please can sumone help me, doctor gave me xanax and I no nothing about it. I took two Squares last nite and had no effect. Is it safe to take the whole tablet? I am prescribed 2 mg xanax 3 times a day. My question is, is there a higher mg pill out there. My Dr. said that was the highest dose but my friend said her Dr. gave her a higher dose pill than mine I'm just wondering. ## There is a time Release version of Xanax that is 3 mg but the 2 mg bar is the strongest pill. Does anyone know if these red xanax bars are a good generic version? They look taste and feel like the brand name but I don't see anything on the net about them.. can someone please give me some feedback or some kind of info on these? I began taking Xanax in 1982. I have been abusing it more and more over the years. I can now take 14 mg and not even tell it. I can stop taking it with no withdrawals. It's like I am immune to it. For the past two years I have been experiencing a lack of cognition, forgetfullness, and general fatigue. I've been trying to research any health related issues when taking Xanax. I take the generic form (alprazolam .5 mg) maybe 2 to 3 times a week as needed. I'm on 1mg of Xanax 2 times a day and morphine 15mg extended release three times a day. I took my morphine between 5 and 7 then I took another one at 11 and between that time I also took I took one 1mg Xanax and then about 1/2 ago or a little longer I took another 1mg Xanax... I have taken Xanax for over 15 yrs. My Doctor was wonderful. He has retired and I'm looking for an excellent Psychiatrist in Middlesex County, NJ. I've seen a few who will take Medicare, however, they're unwilling to prescribe the necessary amount. Now my PCP is willing to write me a prescription, but afraid to give me the dose that is necessary. This past week I got a new RX for Xanax, however, the Pharmacy wouldn't dispense it to me until Jan. 4, 2017. So, I've been without since 12/22/16. I was addicted to xanax and coedine for almost 12yrs!!! Ended up in ICU overdosed. Stopped abruptly. omg!! Thought I was dying !! . For the next few months it was hell. I am now drug free for two years!! Dnt start taking benzodiazepine!! ## That is what's so cruel about Xanax. I wound up in the ICU for a week after an under dose. I'm back on it, not proud to admit. My husband took my last two xanax and put them in his wallet because I have a bad habit of forgetting I already dosed and have had to call this hospital from taking extra. Xanax really does a doozy on myemory but my doc doesn't seem concerned. Anyway he forgot to put them back in the bottle this morning and he works a very physical job so the got crushed in his wallet.he insist I could probably just put the powder in a small glass of water and drink it and it should be fine. How can I quater a green bar? They only break into 3's? ## These bar shaped pills are generally only meant to be broken into 3's. In this case you'd probably have to measure out your own lines before cutting it into four sections. Alternatively, I would suggest discussing this "dosage issue" with your doctor, so that you don't have to keep cutting your pills into four sections in order to get a small enough dose. From what I could tell, there are plenty of different dosage options available for Xanax. You may want to consider switching over to lesser strength if breaking the pill becomes too much of a hassle.
