My original prescribing doctor passed away 2 days before my next appointment, so I never got my prescription. He was prescribing me 1mg. Xanax 3 times a day. I really need to find another doctor to prescribe them to me again in Maryland (21234) as I have been out for almost a week now and am not doing so well. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you so much! ## I am looking for a doctor who accepted Medicaid and can continue my Xanax prescription in Maryland. ## Rhonda, I was in your exact position except my Doctor moved away, I got very sick. Does 2mg xanax come in green color? ## Well, the main issue is the colors don't actually mean anything. I've seen it listed in green, white and several other colors, as the generic, depending on which manufacturer is making it. Can you post back with the imprint from the tablet? Then we can double check its contents. ## i am new to Bel Air , maryland. I can't find a psychiatrist or a doctor that can see me for at least a month. I only have a little less that a weeks worth or my 5mg a day dosage and i was wondering if anyone could PLEASE help me out and recommend a doctor that i can see that will just give me my xanax without a fight or lowering it. My dr has me on 1mg of xanax and I am still having anxiety, so he put me on buspar as well. Is it safe and will it work? ## Hi Mary, If your doctor prescribed both medications then I believe it is his or her professional opinion (after an in person evaluation & reviewing your medical records) that you can safely take them together in the doses that you were put on. My understanding is that your prescribing doctor also believes they will work well together... So I think if you're going to question their "expertise", perhaps it would be best to seek the opinion of another medical doctor (or pharmacist) outside of your network. I'd also encourage you to check out the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool) for good measure, where you can ...

I'm congested and taking Prednisone + Cheratussin, but can't sleep. Can I take my Xanax? ## Hi Reba, According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are interactions listed between Xanax and Cheratussin AC (I don't know if there are different types of Cheratussin). However, if you do have the one containing codeine, they go on to note that taking a benzodiazepine with an opioid can cause problems with your breathing as well as other related side effects. If you are already prescribed both medications your doctor may suggest changing the timing and/or frequency of dosing in order to lessen the risk of such symptoms. I hope this info helps!

I'm already on 4mg of Xanax but it's not effecting me will 25mg of Hydroxyzine help me sleep? ## That sounds like a pretty bad idea. 4 mg Xanax by itself is a hefty dose ## @Johnny, Interestingly enough, The University of Maryland's drug interaction checker doesn't list any sort of interaction between Hydroxyzine and Xanax. You can take that information whichever way you want, however, this doesn't necessarily mean no interactions exist. Not to mention, since Hydroxyzine is a prescription medication, maybe it would be best to discuss this with your doctor before making any decisions...(You are prescribed it, right?) Never the less, it sounds to me like you're better off playing things safe until you can get a professional opinion from your prescriber. ## Yes, I...

can I take a zanax with a 10/325 hhdrocodone ## Dorothy yes it may just make you really sleepy ## @Dorothy (original poster), Based on my research involving drug interactions, I actually wouldn't recommend having Hydrocodone with Xanax. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, "it may just make you really sleepy" is a large understatement by post #1. Apparently using the two together can also increase your risk of certain side effects including but not limited to slurred speech, confusion, dizziness, slow/shallow breathing, and impaired cognitive function. Better to play it safe and let your doctor decide what might be best!
