I don't take suboxone everyday, just a half of a quarter every 3 to 4 days for about a week or week and a half now. So plz someone tell me if it will be out of mine and the baby's system by the time of birth? I am due Oct.15th, 2015. Plz and thanks. I am a first time mom and I try not to hurt me or my child and I don't want cps involved in anything. I just need advice. ## It would be best, for your safety and that of your baby, to inform your doctor that you've taken it and get proper medical assistance. I understand that you're scared, but you could be putting both of your lives at risk by not telling them. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dr...

Hello My doctor prescribed me primolut n because I had 2 irregular periods the first was late a couple days and then the next came almost 15 days early and I was spotting in between the two the whole time and a week after the last period I started bleeding again much heavier than spotting so they prescribed me this. I am taking it 2 times a day every day for 15 days. After the first 3 days my abnormal bleeding was gone. My question is could I still get pregnant while taking the 15 day course of the medication? I am TTC. ## Hello SB, Primolut N contains norethisterone which is a synthetic hormone similar to the natural hormone progesterone. Even though this medicine will help regulate your menstrual cycles it does not work as a contraceptive and will not prevent you from getting pregnant...

I just started taking birth control and it's been about 3 weeks now! My boyfriend came in me today. Coul I be pregnant? Help !!! Also I'm still bleeding ## Hi, Ashley! How are you? Did you start taking it on the first day of your period? If so, then you were immediately protected from pregnancy, because it prevents ovulation from occurring, unless you missed any pills. If you started later during your period, or at some other part of your cycle, then it becomes effective after 7 days. The bleeding can be a normal side effect, due to your body needing to get used to the hormones in these contraceptives, but you should consult your doctor to be certain. ## Yes I started the moment I saw that I was bleeding! I haven't been taking it at the exact same time though because I wasn...

I took 12 flagyl tablets and I didn't know that I was pregnant but I was suspecting it because my breasts were itching. I took the first test and it was negative and I took the second one and it was positive. The reason why I took flagyl is because my uterus was very sore, so I was wondering if it would hurt my unborn child? ## Hello, Sliroro! How are you? Congratulations on the pregnancy! The U.S. FDA lists this antibiotic as being safe for use in pregnant women. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea and stomach pain. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been prescribed bactrim that has 58\98 on it and I took all my doses and later I took a pregnancy test because I was late and I ended up two weeks pregnant can that harm the baby? ## How do you know how far along you are, unless you've already had a doctor's exam? As to the antibiotic, it is very doubtful that it would cause harm that early on, but it is best to see an OB Gyn and let them know that you were taking it, to be certain. Have you already set up an appointment with one? ## I have actually heard that it can be harmful in the first three months of pregnacy can cause blindness but I sorry usually when you are two weeks pregnant it won't even show on a test cause the hormone so low so you gotta be farther. I know this for fact have had five kids and pregnant my...

Hi everyone, my wife has been dealing with some debilitating nausea, accompanied with occasional vomiting. She's about 7 weeks into her pregnancy. For the past few days she's barely been able to eat anything more than apple slices, saltine crackers, and some sparkling water. I feel so bad for her! Even plain water is hard for her to stomach. Anyways, our OB has prescribed some Ondansetron for her in hopes that it will bring some relief. She just took her first dose about an hour ago. We usually try to avoid meds as much as possible, but we have already tried some natural products such as ginger, a special morning sickness tea (with ginger, peppermint, spearmint, chamomile), and even an herbal pill (with ginger, vitamin B6, folic acid) ... to no avail. Does anybody out there have...

I have beent aking this pil for about two months to stop my period while on vacation. The first month I was taking I missed ONE day and then my period started the next day. I continued to take the pill for about a week after as I was unsure if I should stop. I finally stopped taking that week later and let my period finish up. The Sunday after my period stopped I started a new pack. I stopped taking that pill on the last day of taking ( 3 week pills) as I was ready to get my period started. I should have started my period two days later but here I am a FULL WEEK later and no period. Pregnancy tests are coming up negative but no period in site! I am getting nervous! Is this normal? Meanwhile I am just exhausted, moody and my breasts are sore! ## Hi, Erin! How are you? Some women do skip ...

I just started taking Lo Loestrin Fe (still in the first week of my first pack). I took the first pill when I started spotting about a week before I expected my period. I wasn't too surprised by this due to my heavy and irregular periods, which are half the reason I'm taking this birth control. However, the spotting lasted less than a day. I've continued taking the pills since then and have been experiencing side effects such as nausea, tender breasts, moodiness, and fatigue. Since I just started, I'm wondering if it's too early for the pill to be affecting me like this already and if these are from PMS, or possibly signs of pregnancy since they all have similar symptoms. I had unprotected intercourse roughly a week to a week and a half before the spotting occurred, ...

I'm only on day two of zoloft. initial side effects are immense. I have been monitoring severe anxiety attacks with xanax for years. It is really the only way I function in society. I found out a week ago I'm pregnant and had to stop immediately. They prescribed zoloft. I am a bit familiar with antidepressant side effects and know that two days is too soon to give up. But the past two days have been so intense and scarey. My panics are through the roof. Trouble typing the shakes are so immense. Very hard to eat or sleep. And I'm getting lock jaw from grinding my teeth. And of course I'm worried about my pregnancy. I will certainly speak with my Dr about this but want to get through 72 hours or a week first. Anyone willing to talk any advice appreciated. Pregnant or not. ...

Okay, I Have been on birth control (lo loestrin) for almost 9 months And for the first couple months I got no period then it began and I started having regular periods during my placebo week. I am NOT GOOD AT ALL at taking them on time and last month I skipped like four pills (two at a time) by accident and this month my period was due on the 23rd of September and it hasn't come but I had really extremely light spotting the week before my period was due for like 3 days it started off aloft Le brown then it was pinkish then it was gone. I'm now 7 or 8 days late for my period and have had really weird symptoms. I haven't taken my birth control for 4 days because if I'm pregnant I don't want to harm the baby. Could I be pregnant? I've taken 5 tests and they are all ...

I recently switched over to tri sprintec birth control. My husband and I have decided to start trying to have a baby. So I haven't completed a full pill packet cycle, and i havent been taking them at the same time each morning. As soon as we agreed to have a baby I stopped taking the pills immediately. I believe it was the first or second day of taking the white pill. Right now I'm towards the end of the packet. I have been having spotting this week. So my question is could I become pregnant if we are already trying, or do I have to wait for my ovulation? ## Hello, Angie! How are you? You can't get pregnant, until ovulation occurs and an egg is released to be fertilized. The spotting is most likely due to stopping the pills, because your body has to readjust your hormones on...

Could I be pregnant? ## I HAVE USED NUR ISETRATE FOR 5 YEARS AND I NEED TO FALL PREGNENT NOW ## Hello, Sash! How are you? Only your doctor and blood work are going to be able to answer your question about being pregnant. I drank two doxycycline pills and I might be pregnant less than a month. Can two tablets cause birth defects? ## Hi, Brooke! How are you? The first thing you need to do is have a pregnancy test done to find out if you are, or not. If you are, there can be some dangers associated with Doxycycline, so you'd need to discuss it with your doctor. Learn more Doxycycline details here. ## I'm 8 weeks pregnant and the doctor gave me Doxytet but the problem is after taking this pills I was on my periods immediately, what does it mean am I no longer pregnant or what??

I've been on 1mg of Requip since the first trimester with no adverse effects on the baby. Now, in my third trimester the RLS has become unbearable and I've had to increase the dosage to 3 mg a day, not all atonce. The medication has started to make me ill to the point where I'm vomiting multiple times a day. And its still not working great. I am terrified that the increased dosage will hurt my baby but without it I literally will get no sleep. I have tried everything including taking iron supplements. Nothing works. This is ruining my life. Does anyone have any insight into whether or not this increased dosage is dangerous? Thanks so much. ## Hello, BethAnn! How are you? Congratulations on the pregnancy. I have been taking either suboxone or subutex for a little over a year now. I started taking it because I have a bad knee and my line of work causes a lot of pain (CNA in nursing home). I ended up getting hooked on it. I only take 2mg a day and I do sometimes skip a day. I recently found out I am about 5 weeks pregnant unexpectedly and I am terrified. I refuse to have a baby hooked on anything but I have read that stopping can cause miscarriage. I am already scared because I had a miscarriage 6 years ago. I do not know what to do. I want to stop taking it but safely and I'm scared to tell a doctor due to the fact I do not have a prescription. Please Help! ## First of all, suboxone and subutex are NOT used for pain. They are used, wrongly, for withdrawal symptoms associated with opia...

My Taper story- BG: I was severely addicted to pain pills and started taking methadone in a MMT Clinic in August of 2014. Before I knew it i went all the way up to 75mg of liquid daily. I became tired of being chained to the clinic having to do U/A's and counseling weekly. No one in my life knew of my addiction to pills or that I went to MMT clinic in the first place so I had to constantly lie to everyone where I was going to get my dose daily, it became to much. Not to mention how unhealthy and sickly I had started to look. I eventually made the decision to begin to slowly taper off before I knew I was even pregnant. I wanted to give some positive reassurance for any woman trying to do a successful taper off methadone while pregnant.. I did it at 28 weeks (last dose of-1mg-) and ha...

I am 30 weeks pregnant and I was just wondering if I can take this antibiotic because it says on the label, do not take while pregnant. But I'm allergic to Penicillin and Amoxicillin so I cant take those. Will this Sulfamethoxazole harm my baby? ## Generally, the FDA only warns that you stay away from it during the first trimester. It hasn't been known to cause problems during later pregnancy. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. I am on lo leostrin fe for about 6 months. Always took my pills on time at 9am.I started a new pack 2 weeks ago. The first week, I took my pill late every day. Some days like at 8pm and some days 3pm. I am having loose stool, period cramps, sore breasts and nausea. Could i be pregnant? (Its too eraly to test) ## Hello, Molly! How are you? Generally, there's a 12 hour window for taking it, before it's considered a late pill and a 24 hour window, before it's considered a missed pill. Thus, if you didn't actually miss any, there's not much of a risk of pregnancy. The side effects you've mentioned are known effects from taking hormonal contraceptives, according to the FDA. You may also experience irritability, headache, and PMS-like symptoms. However, if you are conce...

I have been on methadone for seven years. Thru a clinic. I also am prescribed many anti depressants as well as 2 mg klonopin. I just found out iam 10 weeks pregnant. What should i do? Does me taking both these medications affect my baby? Where di i go to research this. I do not eant to hurt my baby at all. Any advice? ## Methadone is usually not stopped during pregnancy, if the mother has been on it for a long time, though the baby may experience some side effects, when it is born and could also suffer some minor withdrawals. However, suddenly stopping it can be far more dangerous, because if you go into severe withdrawals it could result in miscarriage, according to the NIH. Benzodiazepines, such as Klonopin, should usually not be taken during the first trimester, however, abruptly sto...
