My prescription is 1MG I want to make sure I have the right one. My pills are light yellow, and small. I just had a refill and they seem a little bigger. This is supposed to be a good supplement for women to take while pregnant. There is no harm in taking them, unless your doctor has told you not to do so for some reason, such as if your levels of it were too high. You can only measure between MG and MCG. 1000 micrograms (mcg) = 1 milligram (mg); so 400 mcg will be equal to just 4 mg Folic acid 400 mcg does equal 100 percent daily value for this nutrient. NOTE: If you can determine what percent daily value 400 iu of folic acid is, then you can essentially compare mcg vs iu. I've been taking 15 mg deplin for nearly 6 months and it seems to be working quite well. I'm a single and disabled mom and don't get child support. My parents have been paying for itit, but it isn't fair to them. I went to see my psychiatrist yesterday who looked it up. He thinks that if I were to take folic acid, calcium and magnesium that it would be equivalent to the active ingredients in deplin. Is this true?
