white oval, what milligram? ## What milligram is the Watson Lortab is 385 ? Does anyone know? ## 500 mg Acetaminophen, 7.5 mg Hydrocodone ## The dosage as listed by Jason is correct, so thanks go out to him! This is a generic for Lortab or Vicodin, as a narcotic, it does have the potential to be habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. Learn more Lortab details here. Another note I'd like to add is that as of the time I'm posting, the FDA has requested that all of these combination prescription medications be changed to only contain a maximum of 325mgs of Acetaminophen, due to the dangers of liver damage/failure that can be associated with long-term use and the toxicity of overdose. Some companies have already begun impl...

Did waston quit making the green 10/650?this is what my pharmacist told me when I got my last script, gave me a flat white pill that does nothing to relieve my pain. ## HI, Flash! Sorry that you're so miserable, I do understand. There are actually two issues at play here…. The first is that Watson had some issues with customers being sensitive/allergic to the dyes in their products, so they have been changing them to remove the dyes and, while they claim that is the only change that's been made, many people are complaining that they are no longer effective at treating pain. The second issue is that due to concerns over overdose toxicity and the possibility of liver damage from long term use of high amounts, the FDA has requested that all manufacturers lower the amount of Ac...

Are they still making the round white Watson 10-325? After being on them for yrs for pain for my back all of a sudden the pharmacy changes to another that's A333. Not working nearly as well. But was also told that Watson was bought out. Unfortunately I'm one of those people that can't cant generics, & have the perfect formula for my medication til they just threw a wrench in it. Now I'm lost & not sure where to go or what 2 do. Any advise? ## No, that generic is also not being manufactured. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The best suggestion I can make is that you speak to your doctor about trying an alternative medication. Does...

Why are they discontinuing the white Watson Hydrocodone Watson now ? ## Hi, Harvey! Who told you it was being discontinued? Is it one that contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen or more? If so, that may be the reason. The FDA has requested that all manufacturers lower the amount of Acetaminophen in these combination medications to no more than 325mgs per dose, due to the danger of liver damage that can occur with long term use and the liver failure that can occur with overdosage. Some companies are already implementing the change and the rest are scheduled to have it completely by January of 2014. Learn more Vicodin details here. ## I've taken Watson yellow Norco 10/325 for years. Then the pharmacy started giving me Watson white Norco 10/325. I think the yellow is better. Now they switche...

personally i think, the DEA, is cracking down, i know the doctors are scared their gonna lose their license, where i live they are getting ridiculous about it! there is an epidemic, which in return is ruining it for us folks who really need the stuff to just even feel a little comfort from excrutiating pain, there is even a brand called "qualitest" for God sakes! not positive, but i believe, food and drug adm., are lowering the strength, to get american's off the drug!!!!! ## From what I've seen, Watson does have a yellow and white version of their "853" generic Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone tablets. They list the dosage as still being 325/10 in the newer white ones, however, there have been numerous complaints from patients who have tried both versions, saying tha...

Does Watson make a generic 750/325ES If not why? Because all I can fine so far is the generic of 750/500 and would like to use less than 500. ## The ES stands for extra strength, so any version of this medication with the ES designation is going to have more Acetaminophen in it, since that's the intent. And yes, Watson actually does make a 7.5/325mg tablet. It is oval and peach in color with the marking WATSON over 3203 on one side and a score line on the opposite side of the tablet. Learn more Vicodin details here. However, if you're doctor has prescribed the 7.5/500 dosage, that is all any pharmacy is going to offer you, because you can't change the dosage yourself. You'll need to get a new prescription from your doctor to get the other tablets with the lower amount of...

My prescription has always had the label, Watson on one side the other 3202 white oval tablet. This month my refill is different, white oval tablet with #2172 on one side. They told me they're from a different manufacturer, and they seem to not help as much. Is this a weaker brand, was told possibly a (placebo) can you advise me ? Thank you. ## Hello, David! How are you? Has there been any change? It is not a placebo, but there have been many complaints about it lacking efficacy. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You may need to consult your doctor about taking an alternative medication, for awhile, until you can find a ...

Been on this for years and again these 2172 are not the same. They must differ in someplace. I get nauseous from them. After taking them almost 20 years there has to be something off here or I wouldn't feel this way. I can take a 10/660 Watson be fine and take a 5/325 2172 and within 30 min I want to vomit! ## Well, you are mentioning 2 different dosages, the pill with the 2172 marking contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone, and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, it is distributed by Major Pharmaceuticals. NDC: 00904-6567 So, if you are used to taking a higher dose, such as the other you've mentioned, then you may be experiencing some withdrawal effects, which may include nausea, headache, vomiting, rebound pain, and sedation, according to FDA reports. Was your dosage supposed to be changed?

What pharmacy carries the blue hydros 10/500 in El paso, Tx westside? ## If you're referring to the blue ones that are manufactured by Watson with the marking WATSON 540 on them, you aren't going to find them anymore. You'll need to be looking for them in white, since Watson has removed the dye. Learn more Norco details here. Additionally, they will all soon be changed to only contain a maximum of 325mgs of Acetaminophen, due to concerns raised by the FDA, because of the risk of liver damage associated with long-term use and the toxicity of overdose. Thus, all manufacturers are expected to change their formulations to the lower amount no later than January of 2014. Do you remember who the manufacturer was? ## Until then Mr.Verwon where can I get them here? I am already going...

WHAT IS THE T FOR ON THE WHITE HYDROCODONE ACETAMINOPHEN 10-325 BY WATSON THIS IS 10-325 T I RECENTLY CHANGED FROM YELLOW 10-325MG TABS TO WHITE ONES I AM NOT CRAZY BUT THE WHITE ONES ARE NOT REALLY HELPING AS WELL WHY IS THAT ## Hi jen, Your not the first to say that the white ones haven't been working as well. There have actually been several complaints to Watson (Actavis) regarding the lack of potency in their "supposedly equivalent" white tablets. They claim that the only difference lies in the removal of 'dye', however that doesn't necessarily explain why they don't work as well, since dye has no real impact on anything but its color. The true answer to their ineffectiveness is still a mystery until the manufacturer opens up and spills the beans. In the ...

Does anyone know what Watson did or why they changed their formula for Lortab 10/500? It used to be blue and when I picked up my refill today they are now white. I still have a few days of my blue left but I swapped a few so I can try the white. I'm waiting for it to start working and I took it over 2 hours ago. My rx is 1-2 every 3 hours not to exceed 7 in a day. (my pm dr wants me on a stronger med but anything above hydrocodone makes me euphoric and I can't function) The blue color lortab starts to work within 15 mins. I took my first white color lortab 2 hours ago, waited an hour and took the 2nd and nothing. I will wait 30 mins longer and switch back to the blue until I run out. This sucks. I've been taking Watson 5-325 hydrocodone from Walgreens for years for back pain. I am disabled, have scoliosis and two bad car accidents caused the need. 3 months ago Walgreens changed to this new Actavis brand. It isn't working! Until I read this, I thought I would have to increase my dosage. Also for the past 3 months I've had sore throat and pain in sinuses and ears. I thought I had overdone my Flonase and have gone through 2 rounds of antibiotics without relief. When I read about the mother's ears ringing and nausea, I put this together. Thank you so much! I scheduled another appointment today for next week about this. Hopefully a new scrip will solve both issues. I went to CVS today and found out they have qualitest brand hydrocodone. ## @Brat Cat, You're defin...

And yes, it is a narcotic pain reliever, so constipation can be one of its side effects, along with dizziness, drowsiness and nausea. Learn more Lortab details here. An additional note to add is that the FDA has requested that all such medications be changed to lower the dosage of the Acetaminophen in them to a maximum of only 325mgs, due to the danger associated with its toxicity and overdose. I've been on 7.5/325, I was using Walgreens Pharmacy to get my script filled. However, I have noticed that the "Watson Brand" ---- of hydrocodone (Walgreens carries) is not strong at all.. After doing research-- discovered Watson was purchased by Actavis--- and since have changed their formulation in all "hydrocodone". I called Watson/Actavis----to report the pills are NOT strong.. They have been getting a lot of complaints! So, if you want Watson/Actavis to go back to the "old formulation" call them and complain---- see it they change it back this year! ## Please take your formulation back to where they were ## @cocomotes, Once you accept your prescription, pharmacy policies don't allow you to take it back for an exchange (especially if it's been ope...

Actually I have been taking them for about 9 months after the Watson (Norco) sold the company and made changes to their medication, they claim all they did was remove the yellow dye! BS the medication sucks, it's useless! On to aurobindo, they have worked for the last months as a good replacement however my latest refill, they are horrible, ineffective with headaches, I am guessing greed stepped in and the company made some changes, because these too are now useless! They will learn an expensive lesson as others will turn away from them as I now will. For some reason the pharm industry has less concern for the patient "customer" than any other, they think they can do as they please. ## @webhead, I agree with what you said about the pharmaceutical industry expressing less con...

I have taken 7.5mg hydrocodone for pain in the past, the only effect being the absence of pain. Took one about 3 hrs. ago for a toothache and......it KNOCKED ME OUT! Had to lie down, slept for about two and a half hours, and I'm still really groggy. The ones I've taken in the past were not 'Watson 502', and I'm wondering why this one affected me so differently. ## Hi Leslie, When you switch brand names or manufacturers, the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. For this very reason, I believe the differences in side effects you are feeling have a lot to do with certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand. I'm frustratingly surprised that doctor's and pharmacists don'...

Hydrocodone Apap 5 500 Tablet. Wanting to make sure this is the right medication in an old bottle. White tablet with red specks imprint on one side Watson other side 3202. Thanks ## Yes, this is a generic for Vicodin or Norco, but it is the 5/325mg dosage. You can learn more Vicodin details here. All such tablets will be changed to contain only 325mgs of Acetaminophen by January of 2014, due to the new FDA directive. Some manufacturers are already making the changes. I have taken Lorecet 10 for quite sometime. They were always blue in color but the last time I got them they were made by Watson and were white. I have nonstop itching with the white. Why? ## Hi, Taylor! Sorry about the problem you're having. And I wish I had an answer for you, but I don't. So far, they claim to have only removed the dye, but many people are reporting experiencing odd side effects, or less effectiveness, which makes it seem that more has been changed. Learn more Lorcet details here. Have you alerted your doctor to the problem? They may need to write your prescription so no substitutions can be made and you can only be given the name brand.

I am on pain pills to manage the chronic pain I experience from Fibromyalgia, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Neuropathy, and back/disc problems. We moved, so I just changed pharmacies. I get a Rx every month for hydrocodone-apap 7.5-650 (used to get 10-650's but couldn't stand the nausea, so I asked them to bump it down a bit). I used to get the pink pills that had WATSON 502 (I think it was) on them, generic for Lorcet Plus. Now I filled the same Rx at the new pharmacy and they gave me some white scored oblong tablet that says M359. It also says generic for Lorcet Plus tablet. Can anyone please tell me if there is a difference other than the manufacturer of the pills? (like, if one is better than the other). The old ones (WATSON) seemed like they took forever to kick in and at t...
