I am 87 years old . Have ben on Urimax 0.4mj for nealy a decade. Recent ultrasound showed retension of urine is nearly 50%.So I am advised to stop Urimax and take Silodal 8mg once every night 10 P.M.. Why should Silodalbe preferable to Urimax.? Should Urimax be taken in the nightbefore going to bed? I have been taking it at 4-5 P.M. ## It may simply be that after so many years, your body has gotten used to the Tamsulosin in the Urimax, so it's just no longer helping you. Learn more Urimax details here. When that happens, it is usually necessary to switch to a different medication, which in this case is the Silodosin in the Silodal. Learn more Silodal details here. As to the time to take it, I have no specific information on that, but it's usually best to follow your doctors inst...

Just wondering if anyone knows the answer to this: I take Actiq for my migraines and works great most of the time but is really doing a number on my teeth. I've heard that the lozenge form of Fentanyl (Fentora) has no sugar in it at all, but a lot of people I've talked to say it's not as long lasting as the Actiq and their pain tends to re-occur quicker. Why can't they make the Actiq sugar free? ## I can't find any details on this, but my first guess is that it probably has to do with disguising the taste of the medication. Fentanyl is a narcotic and they are known to be very bitter and it would take a lot to make sure that they didn't completely gross someone out. In addition, the use of actual sugars as a sweetener opens them up to a much broader market, as man...

I've decided at my next Dr. appt to ask for my Soma back. I have a certain bone disease, and the only thing that helped the awful pain from it was Soma. I'm tired of being in pain & if the Soma is the only thing that helps, then why deny me the Soma that are completely legal? Enough is enough!!! If he denies to re-prescribe it, then put me back on Oxycontin 80mg a day. Does anyone know why so many people I know can't get their Soma either?? ## The US government is making it very difficult for Drs to prescribe all pain medication. Drs also don't want to be part of any kind of DEA investigation if the DEA wants to delve deeper. The DEA has all access to pharmacy records and can randomly investigate. ## It's not the DEA that's behind my losing my Soma. My Dr. st...

Some people do, to avoid the drowsiness during the day. Are you on any other medications?

How are you? Congratulations on the baby! Yes, it is, you must only take it on an empty stomach and wait awhile, before eating or drinking anything else. If you eat with it, it reduces the efficacy of the medication, so it will not work for you, as it should. is vicodin be taken off the market in January 2014 ## Hi Tommie, From what I've read, the only thing that's changing as of 2014 is the amount of Acetaminophen that they put into those types of medications (i.e. Norco, Vicodin, Percocet, etc..) The new maximum allowed dose is supposed to be 325mgs, due to an increased risk of liver toxicity. In my opinion, if something is really that toxic to your liver, we probably shouldn't be taking it anyways in any quantity. There are plenty of other anti-inflammatory options on the market (both natural and prescription) that are considered to be much safer than Acetaminophen in that regard. I hope this info helps to answer your question!

I have a kidney infection, am taking ciprofloxacn,250 mgs. also taking orphenadrine 100 mgs twice a day, one in the morning, one at night as needed. I took two at once, will I be okay? ## Hello, Jocelyn! How are you? Did you suffer any adverse effects? That could be too high of a dose for some people, so any time you've accidentally taken more than prescribed, it's always best to check with Poison Control or your doctor. Taking too much of it, as reported by the FDA, may result in respiratory depression, slow heart rate, lowered blood pressure, severe dizziness and severe drowsiness.

As i ws alrdy taking androlic. .I continued both together.I have stoped androlic after taking 10tabs bt now pain as increase. Is it somethin serious?? ## Have you consulted your doctor, again? No one is really going to be able to give you a definitive answer from just the limited information in your post. Androlic is an anabolic steroid and improper use of it can cause damage to your body, some of which may be permanent. The Mobizox contains the active ingredient Chlorzoxazone, which is used as a muscle relaxant, so it can help with pain from muscle spasms, but will generally not be effective against pain form other causes.
