why do different manufacturers of pills have varying effects

Does anyone know if you get a different looking pill from another pharmacy of the same medicine but a different manufacturer makes it, would it make you feel different? I know that question doesn't make sense but I don't know how else to word it. *I revised my question a little different. I went to a different pharmacy to get my prescription filled the pills were different looking and from a different manufacturer. Would the pills make you feel funny if not from the same manufacturer you had been taking for years? ## Hello, Maggie! How are you? Yes, your question actually does make sense, so please don't worry, or feel the need to apologize. Under the Hatch Waxman Act of 1984, generic medications are allowed to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredie......

why do different manufacturers of pills have different effects

I have just had my generic Tramadol manufacturers switched by Rite-Aide and I am having serious problems with the new one. Rite-Aide says that they cannot get and will not get Tramadol from the former supplier. I cannot afford the non-generic drug. What recourse do I have? I was also told I cannot get a refill from a different pharmacy until this prescription has run out. I cannot take any other pain medication because of extreme sensitivity to them. It is vital that I have Tramadol but cannot take the ones I was just given from having the prescription filled at Rite-Aide. Please advise! ## They have not misinformed you and were honest. What types of problems are you having with the new one? It might be easier to get advice, if you are more specific. The FDA lists the typical side effec......

why does different manufacturers of pills have effects

My son has a brain injury post 17 years has been on baclofin 20 mg once a day can this suddenly make him have confusion paranoia hallucinations ? His prescription of this pill was a little larger than before could it be he is allergic to an inactive ingredient from another manufacture or could it be 20percent different from different manufacture say 40 percent actually ## Hello, Benita! How is your son doing? Has there been any change? Those are not normal side effects of an average dose of this medication, according to FDA reports. They typically include nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, and dry mouth. Is he on any other medications?...

Reasons Why Manufacturers Decided To Separate 2 Major Ingredients Of The Drug And Sell Two Different Pills Instead Just One With Combined

I take benazepril -hydrochlorth for hypertension and the pharmacist told me that the manufacturers stopped making them as they were and now I have to buy two separate pills to have basically the same pill I was taking . It seems that they are just doing this to double the copay that i make . I do not see the logic of it. Is there any special medical explanation for this action? ## I find it odd that the pharmacist told you that since there is no definitive information online (at least yet) to confirm it is true. Although this drug combination of benazepril and hydrochlorothiazide is already available separately, any effort to make the duo unavailable would definitely be geared towards patients spending more on each individual drug. Also, by taking two medications, you'd possibly be ......

different manufacturers of hydrocodone

I have taken hydrocodone 10 mg for several years, and sometimes get jittery..sort of like speedy..and uncomfortable. I noticed the other day that I have two different sizes of pills (from a different pharmacy last month). Is it possible that one manufacturer has an ingredient different from another? My doctor and I have been trying to identify why I get jittery for over a year..and I think it has to do with manufacturers. ## There can be differences between generic medications, since under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984 they are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% in the amount of the active ingredients. They also don't have to measure against each other, thus it is possible that one of them is higher or lower in the amount of Hydrocodone, which could......

Different Manufacturers

HI, I have been taking Metoprolol since July . In the 7 months I have been taking it, they have changed the manufacturer three times. With such severe side effects, I don't care if it is the same pill, the filler is essential to the pill and how your body reacts to the pill. It is really frusterating to me that they keep on changing the manufacturer as they please and just saying it is the same pill. I was pretty upset the last time they changed the manufacturer because I was right in the middle of a big 3 day exam, and that was the last thing I needed. But actually what I noticed, I started to feel 100 percent better when I got on I think it is called TAB. The TAETH I was taking, I don't know what the problem was, but after about 3 months of taking it, I started to get really s......

100 MG from different manufacturer not working for me

I'm getting desperate for an answer. 100 MG twice a day had been sufficient to gently give me the uplift I need and gave me some energy. I thought it was just a temporary glitch in my brain, but the new purple pill from a different manufacturer is simply doing nothing. I tried taking 1 and 1/2 tablets but no change. I am not doing well, dragging myself through the day, anxious for the next time I can lie down for a bit. It is a struggle. I have been doing some research and in your opinion, could APOTEX have changed the formulation. Previous company was MYLAN. ## I had a similar problem with BP medicine, along with other people. It was a change in manufacturer . It can happen. Tell your doctor and go back to other manufacturer. ## @Veronica, If you're looking for an answer as to ......

oxycodine has different manufacturer

I just got my monthly meds of Roxicodene filled, they have a different manufacturing company. These pills are twice the size of my regular Roxys and don't seem to work as well. Has anyone else gotten these new Roxys ? ## Hello, Jan! How are you? What are the markings on them and who is the manufacturer that's listed on the label? Without that information, no one is going to know which specific ones you're talking about, since there are several on the market. Can you please post back and clarify? Thanks! ## I am sorry, I should have posted correct info ~ The MFG, Caraco, very pale blue, with 224 on the pill. These are much larger and I don't feel I get the relief I did with other Manufacturers. Any information, of anyone taking these, I would like your feedback, thanks~...

Toprol XL 50 MG Different Manufacturer?

I've been taking Toprol XL 50 MG for many years. My recent presciption came with pills that look a little different. My previous pills have always had small A mo lettering , the new ones have same lettering but much larger letters. Any difference between the two? ## Are you sure it's still the A MO marking? Because there is another one made by the same company that uses a marking of A MS and it's larger, because it's a 100mg tablet. If that's the one you received, then they gave you the wrong dosage. Can you double check your pills to be safe? Learn more Toprol details here....

Generic Adderall Different Manufacturers

Okay I was prescribed Adderall IR and my first script happened to be Corp Pharma. I can honestly say I thought it was horrible. This month my pharmacy had the orange footballs 974, from Teva, 110% better. I do want to try Sandox because everyone says how great it is, but right now after taking Corp for a month, I'm not complaining about getting Teva. ## I am very glad that you've found a product that works for you. The FDA does warn that Adderall carries the risk of being habit forming, and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, irritability, mood changes, anorexia, and insomnia. Can anyone else chime in with their experiences? ## I’ve been getting my adderall IR script from CVS for 4 months and have always been given the blue football. Saturday i went to get......
