I received my metformin 500 Er pills, white elliptical, for diabetes 2. I was given 3 bottles 360 each. No markings on one side. on the other there is either a 5 or 3 followed by 17 ## Unfortunately, after trying several searches I haven't been able to locate a match in any of the U.S. prescription drug databases, nor any related possibilities on google. I also tried searching different variations of the imprint with the closest imprint being "17 5 S Z" on a white oval pill. Odds are that it could be either manufactured outside of the U.S. and/or that it is some sort of over the counter medication, as OTC meds aren't required to be listed in the drug databases.
