A prescription from 2008 is most probably out of date. I take this medication every day for a chronic condition and would never take a pill that old, even if I had significant pain. Call your local pharmacist for more info. ## I have been told to not take pain meds over one year old, however I was told by a pharmacist that it would be ok, however I just don't think I personally would risk taking anything more than the expiration date if more than a year old. Just my opinion.

Brand of vitamin c ## Hi Mona, I haven't been able to find any pill with the imprint II45, could you double check that it is the correct imprint? Unfortunately, OTC medications and supplements can be very hard to locate due to the fact that the imprints are often quite vague. The closest match I've been able to find is a white round pill with the imprint IP 145. This pill contains (7.5 mg) of Hydrocodone bitartrate + (200 mg) of ibuprofen. This combination is used to treat pain and is in the drug class known as Analgesics. Manufacturer: Amneal Pharmaceuticals Are you sure that this pill contains vitamin C?

i take methadone 10 mg ,for pain but have noticed a difference between the round and oblong ones the round ones make me very tired ,ne1 no wat pharmacies carry the oblong ones? ## There can be difference in generic drugs, they are allowed to differ in the active ingredient, by as much as plus or minus 20%, because the FDA considers this an acceptable therapeutic window. If they are making you tired, then that probably means you are experiencing more side effects, so they are a little stronger than what you are used to taking. As to what pharmacies carry the different ones, can you post back with more details, such as the markings on the ones you are looking for or the manufacturer, as well as your general location? Otherwise, people can only try and guess these details. You'll get m...

What is an oval white pill with imprint L522? ## L522 is Ibuprofen 800 mg manufactured by Perrigo Pharmaceuticals. (NDC 10768-7522). It's a prescription strength NSAID pain reliever. (Normally, an over the counter tablet of Ibuprofen is only 200 mg). ## I’ve been prescribed the 800mg one by my Dr. it is just a slow release version, that’s what he told me. The prescription is from 2008. Is it save to take? ## Hello, Bob! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. This medication does not get dangerous, once expired, but it does start to lose effectiveness. Under optimal storage conditions in the original factory sealed container, it would only last about 4 years and you cannot safely take multiples due to the Acetaminophen in them. Thus, it would be best to dispose of them and see your doctor for a new prescription. Is there anything...
