My aunt gave my mother some pills saying they were Provigil and then later called and said they weren't and has no idea what they were. My mother took them and we can't find out what they are. White oblong scored tablet with a J on one side and 24 on the other. ## Hopefully your mother's ok after taking an unidentified pill. Any feedback on how she feels? Based on the description provided, the closest match I'm finding is a white oval pill, scored, with an imprint of "D 24". This particular pill is identified as Gabapentin 600 mg. Size (for reference): 17mm Gabapentin was originally developed for the treatment of epilepsy, and is currently widely used to relieve neuropathic pain. I've been taking zolpidem tartrate aka ambien for 11 years. As soon as the generic came out by Teva I noticed it does not put me to sleep at all. None of my meds have changed. Have you heard any complaints about the strength of Teva's zolpidem? ## Hello, Gi! How are you? Has there been any change? Is the marking TEVA 74? That should be the marking on their 10mg Zolpidem tablet. However, there can be fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic to another. Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, they are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% and they don't have to measure against other generics, just the name brand. Thus, one could be slightly higher or lower in the amount of the active ingredient than another one. Though, s... ...

Small round pill with the letter "N" on one side and "24" on the other ## Hi Tim, Based on the description provided, I haven't found an exact match to your pill, but the imprint gives me an idea of who the manufacturer may be. Novopharm (a Canadian based drug company) happens to manufacturer other white round pills with a similar imprint (e.g. N 10, N 20). NOTE: Novopharm is now known as Teva-Canada. I would actually recommend contacting them directly regarding your inquiry, since it might end up being one of their own. Is there any type of herb that can be used that will do the same as the ativan ## Hello, Cynthia! How are you? There are some available, such as Ashwagandha, but since they are only classified by the FDA as supplements, there is no proof that they actually work, though some people swear by them. They are also not known to be habit forming, like the benzodiazepines and they seem to cause far less side effects. You can certainly try something, if your doctor approves. its that twacky quack ## Found a match! it's Carisoprodol 350 mg, which is a centrally-acting skeletal muscle relaxant whose active metabolite is meprobamate. To learn more click on the link below... Do you have any more questions or information to add? Please post back if you do. ## Generic Soma is carisoprodol, which is a precursor of meprobamate. It is not meprobamate itself; but it is in the same class of drugs called dicarbamate derivatives. They do not relax skeletal muscle tissue directly--they relax the body through their sedative properties. And carisoprodol--brand name Soma--is not nearly as potent as meprobamate (brand names: Equanil, Miltown) which is a Schedule IV controlled substance. Carisoprodol is not controlled, it is Rx Only--unscheduled. But it does have abuse po... ...

white pill ## This pill is a 325 mg aspirin tablet. It is CVS Pharmacy brand, is uncoated, and is caffeine and sodium free. The only other ingredient in them is starch, which holds the pill together, as aspirin is very powdery. It's a value product, but while cheap, it is also effective. I bought a bottle of 1000 of these pills for 10 dollars. When I get a headache I take four of them, two 500 mg acetaminophen pills, and a 200 mg caffeine pill (caffeine speeds up the effectiveness of these drugs). If you've only got one of these, take it for a headache. If you've got ten bucks, go get another thousand. ## round white pill with large numbers 249 ## @derf yeltneb, Based on my research, the pill you have could possibly be the 325 mg Acetaminophen mentioned above, or Escitalopra... ...
