White Pill 277

The pill is white,bottom part says 277,top part looks like sideways 8 with a diagonal line through it. ## I can't find this listed in any of our U.S. prescription drug resources. There is a good possibility that it is something available over the counter, however, it could also be a foreign medication. Was it found in the U.S. or elsewhere? Does anyone else recognize this tablet?

I found an oblong white pill, not capsule, with the numbers 277 on one side and nothing on the other side, small about 1/8th of an inch by 1/2". Is this a Tramadol? I found one like it when I bought the house and was able to use the computer to find the answer, no such luck with answers this time.

ANXIETY ## This is not used for anxiety. It is Avapro 300mg. It is a medication used for high blood pressure and to help expel any extra water in the body. Side effects include inability to pass urine, heart palpitations, dizziness. ## Yep, nenene is correct, the generic/drug name for this is Irbesartan, and it is most definitely an Angiotensin II Receptor Agonist, which really has no other uses other than to lower blood pressure. I even looked up several monographs on it, at various sites, and anti-hypertensive is the only use that is indicated and approved by the FDA and stated by the manufacturers. I supposed it is possible the person thought, by the looks of it, that is was some form of antianxiety med or a Benzo. Many people do assume that all meds that are related or the same look...

i found a white thick round pill. it had the brand name MILLAN on one side and 722 on the other side.the numbers were not clear ## There are several possibilities that match this, with the MYLAN logo on them, it's difficult to determine which one it is, without knowing what the numbers are. If I had to guess, I'd say it could be 277 MYLAN, which contains 25mgs of Amitriptyline and 10mgs of Chlordiazepoxide. Can you double check the numbers and post back, please?

The numbers are actually intended to be 2772 and this tablet contains 150mgs of Irbesartan, it's an ARB that used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions, such as congestive heart failure, so your guess was right on. what pill is this? Is it Methenamine Hippur? 1 gram? ## No, the Hiprex tablet that contains Methenamine is yellow, oblong and has the marking MERRELL 277 on on side. Where was this obtained? Did it come from a pharmacy? I can't find anything that matches this in the U.S. prescription drug databases.

What is it?? ## Mylan 271 is Diazepam 2 mg - generic for Valium. ## Rich's post is correct, this is Diazepam 2mgs, generic for Valium. This is a Benzodiazepine used to treat anxiety and similar issues.

Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, hypotension and stomach pain. Is there anything else I can help with? ## If your child is older (a teen or older perhaps), please note that this drug is also used to curb performance anxiety such as for shaking while playing a musical instrument, singing, giving a speech, and for social anxiety. It's usually prescribed in a low dose for this and is safe and effective. Doesn't relate to drug abuse.
