What is a small white pill that can be split in the middle, has "S" on one end and "500" on the other end? There's nothing on the back. ## Hello, Kathy! How are you? Is the marking possibly S 900? If so, Dava Pharmaceuticals lists it as containing .25mgs of Alprazolam, which is a generic for Xanax. It is most commonly used to treat anxiety, and nervous disorders. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and irritability. Though they can vary depending on production facility, the inactive ingredients are listed as containing: crospovidone docusate sodium lactose magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose silicon dioxide sodium benzoate corn starch Is there anything else I can help...

Please tell me if this white oval S21 pill is good for treating tooth infections? I have a tooth infection. ## Dava Pharmaceuticals lists this tablet as containing 500mgs of Penicillin V. It is used to treat, or prevent bacterial infections. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash. The inactive ingredients are listed as including Inactive Ingredients: lactose magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose povidone sodium lauryl sulfate polyethylene glycol. I have a prescription that I found moving, its about 2 years old, the bottle says 10mg Oxycodone/325 mg Acetaminophen. I tried to look it up and everything just says Acetaminophen but nothing about the Oxycodone. Some insight would be great. I'm wondering if someone ripped me off and switched pills. Regardless, they went in the trash. ## Is the P 500 on one side of the pill? Or is there a P on one side and 500 on the other? I see where it shows Walmart brand acetaminophen 500mg with imprint P500. Usually the label on the pill bottle will give a description of the pill (i.e. imprints, scoring). This pill (P500) is definitely not percocet. Sounds like someone might have pulled the ol' switcheroo on it. ## If the imprint is P 500 it is Ciprofloxacin 500 mg (Cipro-Brand Name) Ciprof...

Was told it was buspar but can't find it in the pill identifier. ## The reason this isn't listed in the pill identifiers is due to the fact that it's an over the counter product. This tablet contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen, it's just a generic or store brand of Extra Strength Tylenol that's used to treat pain, fever and headaches. This medication can be toxic if too much is ingested in any 24 hour period, so please do not exceed a total of 4,000mgs daily. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## I appreciate the response! Thanks so much.

Oval white pill m538 ## I believe the marking on the tablet in question was actually M 358 and it contains 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, it's a generic for Vicodin and is a narcotic analgesic. This medication may be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation, dry mouth and drowsiness. Learn more Vicodin details here. Another note that needs to be added here is that as of 2013, the FDA has made a request that all manufacturers lower the amount of Acetaminophen in these combination prescription products to no more than 325mgs per dose. There are serious concerns about the dangers of liver damage and failure that can be associated with long-term use of high amounts, as well as the toxicity of overdose. Some manufacturers hav...

White oval shaped pill with NJB 500 ## A white oblong/oval pill imprinted with NJB 500 is rumored to be a Ciprofloxacin 500mg tablet; an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. I'd just encourage you to take it into a local pharmacy for additional feedback. Hope this helps!

NDC code: 68462-190 The color is very pale, so it does look white to many people. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach irritation, increased risk of bleeding, and headache. So no, it is not Percocet, or any type of narcotic. S 21 how long to clear up an infection? ## Hello, Rich! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Dava Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 500mgs of Penicillin. The FDA classifies this medication as an antibiotic and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. The general rule with antibiotics is that if it's working, you shouldn't see any worsening after taking it for a full 24 hours and you should start to see improvement after taking it for a full 3 days. However, the length of treatment may vary, depending on the infection being treated and its severity, so you should take it for the entire period of time that your doctor has told you to do so.
