Is anything going to happen to me? ## Hi Crystal, According to a Harvard Medical School family health article, except in rare cases (i.e. tetracycline), there is little chance of danger due to taking medications even up to 15 years beyond their expiration date. Source: health.harvard.edu/fhg/updates/update1103a.shtml Penicillin does not go bad/get dangerous with age, per se, however, it can lose efficacy and may not work as well as it did, when it was new. This means that taking a standard dose may not effectively wipe out an infection and could actually cause the development of drug resistant bacteria. Can someone help me identify these pills: Oval Yellow Marked 13 / 9 On One Side And G on the other. Also found a Diamond Shaped White Pill marked 7427 on one side and 9 / 3 on the other.The "/" is a break section in each pill. I found these in an unmarked pill bottle in the room of my son, who is an active alcoholic. It is a circular green tablet saying R and under that is a dash then under the dash it reads 214 and the opposite side is blank. The one with the 93 15 marking is listed as being white, but both it and the one with 16 contain Nabumetone, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. 93 15 is a 500mgs and 93 16 is a 750mg tablet.
