My latest Watson 853s are slightly smaller, the score line a tad thinner & the color isn't as white. It looks like it's not as shiny, maybe less coating, & the color has kind of a bluish tint to the white. I had a few of my old ones to compare them to, otherwise I might not have noticed. I read on other boards that Watson had been bought by Actavis & didn't know if this was their version of the Watsons. It's also round, not oblong in shape. However there are some pain pills that are white and oblong, including Watson 388 (Hydrocodone 2.5mg + Acetaminophen 500mg) as well as Watson 853 (Hydrocodone bitartrate 10mg + Acetaminophen 325mg). I recently was thrown from my horse and have pretty bad pain. My tailbone was broken in three places.
