I have been on 50 mcg of levothyroxine for 5 months and I have gained 15 pounds. My doctor tells me that it should be the opposite and that I should loose weight. Is this possible? I’ve been on phentermine 37.5 mg capsule & it not working at all. I was on it once before when my doctor put me on hormone replacement. I gained weight & it worked fine. I’m usually 5’6” & 120lbs. how I can get very good muscle and gain weight ## Eat a ton of lean meat and starches, and then start lifting. You're going to have to double or triple your calorie intake to see any results. Go for dense stuff like cheesy potatoes and protein shakes with a lot of sugar in them.
