Hi ~ Just got the rheumatoid arthritis tap on the shoulder today. Rinvoq seems to be advertised a lot but I’d sure like to hear from folks who actually are using it. Has it been effective for you? What kind of side effects are you noticing? Anybody? ## I have RA and since there’s no cure for it, I can’t take these types of drugs including the DMARDS they have horrific side effects. But I take pain medication as needed. I don’t know of others who take this but I’ll find out. Best of luck. ## Thank you Bella ~ I am going to have to look up what DMARDS are! The ‘language’ of RA I will have to learn. I am liking your approach, of taking as little as possible of the least damaging, side effect laden medication. I’m 67 and take no meds at all at...

orangeish, yellowish round pill, not scored, has GG288 on one side? What is this? ## I would like to know about a white round pill with a line through it on one side and the other has a WW with 763 below it. ## The WW 763 pill is something called Artane R. It is used for stiffness in the joints, bad rheumatoid arthritis, and especially for parkinsons disease. ## The GG288 pill is a muscle relaxer called Flexeril. It is often used for pulled muscles, especially in the back. It can make you drowsy and dizzy so it is best not to drive or operate machinery while taking it.

Go to any website about stress killing and find out what helps and works the best. No I don't agree with much pain medications, I have R.A., rheumatoid arthritis, and fibromyalgia, and only take tramadol when it's absolutely gets unbearable, I have learned to live with ALOT OF PAIN, but when it comes to my stress that was handed down from generations......THERE IT NOT ANYTHING THAT EVEN CLOSLY COMPARES TO XANAX........just read the articles YOURSELF........DOC'S AND ALL. And believe me, yes you can certainly sue a Doc over cutting you off of xanax....unless you were either abusing or selling em!

I began hydroxychloroquine on jan 19th & yesterday my primary took me off the med. Now my body is covered with hives and i've not slept for 2 days/nights, i am exhausted. I have rheumatoid arthritis, celiac disease and severe osteoporosis. I did the best i could to see if this product is gluten free but im not finding any results. Can you help me with this please? ## Hi Larry, Sorry to hear about your situation. Do you happen to know what imprint is on your hydroxychloroquine pill and/or who the manufacturer is? With this information, I could more easily investigate those types of specific details. According to the FDA, brand name Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) 200mg made by Sanofi-Aventis contains the following set of inactive ingredients: Dibasic Calcium Phosphate, Hydroxyprop...

I am on suboxone sublingual film for the moderate-to-severe pain. I need to switch to a pain medicine that will be strong enough to kill rheumatoid arthritis. I need one that does not have aspirin or acetaminophen in it but cannot seem to figure out which one to ask the doctor for. ## Cathy, I'm sorry your experiencing so much discomfort.Actually its recommended the doctor decide what medication is optimal for your condition since only he or she is familiar with your history and condition. There are many effective medications that do not contain acetaminophen or NSAIDs but you must allow your doctor to recommend these for you.Otherwise they may see this as drug seeking behavior by specifically seeking particular medications by name. I wish you the very best in your attempt to find ad...

I'm looking for a pain doctor in Burlington Vermont. I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet and rheumatoid arthritis. The doctors just give me gabapentin which does nothing for the nerve pain. ## Hello, I don't live in your area but I can at least give you a link to a website that lists all the doctors in your area and from there you might find one that works best for you. [1] Pain Management Specialists near Burlington, VT I hope this helps. Please feel free to let me know if none of these doctors work out for you and I can help you expand the search and find some doctors who might be further away but work better for you. ## I have been to Dr. Pino twice and he just gives the spinal inj's., all of the pain clinics around here just do that. They are connected to the hospita...

I have diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis. I also have bursitis in my hips. Which is better to control the pain and which has less side effects - (Epleptin 300mg three times a day or Neurontin 300 mg)? ## All medications carry the risk of causing side effects, and there is no way to say which one will be the best to help any given person, since we are all different. However, regarding these two medications, both of them contain the same active ingredient, which is Gabapentin, so there is really no difference between them. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, headache, dry mouth, dizziness, mood changes, and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

Can you safely take ceftin with methotrexate? I take methotrexate once a week for rheumatoid arthritis. ## Hello, Patty! How are you? My research in the NIH database didn't turn up and problems or interactions, but it is always best to double check to be sure. The FDA lists the typical antibiotic side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with? ## No thanks I appreciate your answer I was just trying to make sure

I have really bad rheumatoid arthritis and bad knees had one replaced have been on hydrocodone but now doctor is trying to get me to go off of that or at least go down to three a day this would work during the day but then at night I can’t sleep because of paint so can I take Tylenol p.m. to sleep at night ## If you are taking Hydrocodone that also contains Acetaminophen, it would be best not to add the Tylenol, since it also contains Acetaminophen, which could result in your experiencing Acetaminophen toxicity, and it has been known to be fatal. The FDA warns that Hydrocodone carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache. What has your physician advised to help with your insomnia issues?

I have very bad rheumatoid arthritis. I've been taking one pill of Meloxicam 15mg in the morning. Now it's night time and the pain came back. Can I take another pill? ## It would be best not to exceed the prescribed amount. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. What has your doctor instructed you to take? Are on any other medications? ## Ibuprofen 500 mg at. nite because I am in pain, going. for x-ray tomorrow Sandra

I have been using Cilift 20mg as well as Alzam for just over 2 years. I have Rheumatoid arthritis. Started taking anti depressants after my husband committed suicide over 2 years ago. I do not sleep well. I still feel down at times, I have terrible pain in my hips, knees and elbows. Seems both tablets do not work for me anymore. Does the Cilift and the Alzam not affect the balance of my hormones? Oh I'm 63 Years old. I want to wean myself from these two meds. What would be the best route to follow? When I talk to my GP she says 'take them, you need them to cope'. I refuse to take a sleeping pill. ## Hello, Mathilda! How are you doing? Has there been any change? It could be that you just need a dosage adjustment. No dosage of any given medication lasts forever, our bodies eve...

Hi, I am taking diclofenac 50mg once a day (night) for about 3 months. Is it alright if I continue to take it at this dose for another month before I see my specialist again? Will it cause me any harm? If I don't take it daily, it will cause me unbearable pain the whole day. By the way, I'm taking it for my rheumatoid arthritis and I am 32 years old, female with no other medical history. ## This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that is used to treat pain, fever, and inflammation. The FDA warns that it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. Has your specialist told you to keep taking it? It is always best to follow your doctor's instructions. There is a risk of liver and stomach damage, if it is take...
