Well my dr has me takin 10/325 hydrocodone but is switchin me to percoset jus wanted opinion on what was stronger ## The Oxycodone in the Percocet is stronger than the Hydrocodone in the Vicodin, and otherwise they both also contain Acetaminophen to enhance its effectiveness. 10mgs of Hydrocodone is equivalent to 6.67mgs of Oxycodone, so you will probably get better pain relief from the Percocet. Since it is also a narcotic, the side effects will be similar to what you are used to, nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. I have been taking Hydrocodone 10/325 for chronic pain, 1 pill every 6 hours. My Dr. just prescribed Oxycodone 5/325 with up to 2 pills every 6 hours. Which is stronger? ## The oxy is stronger but who knows your body may b used 2 the vicoden. But if he is allowing u 2 take 2 @ a time it would b better if he would just give u the percocet 10/325 as it would b as effective with 1/2 the amount of aspirin. To answer your question though, YES, the 10mgs of Oxycodone contained in Perocet 10/325 is reported to be more potent than 10mgs of Hydrocodone in Norco 10/325. I have a damaged SI joint in my back from a car accident 12 years ago and also have fibromyalgia. I've recently noticed something and I'm hoping someone can help me figure this out. I've taken hydrocodone mainly for pain, usually 7.5 mg, but sometimes 10 mg. They make the pain tolerable but never seem to last long. I recently tried Watson 749, which I'd never heard of before, but they are percocet 5 mg. Both these and the hydrocodones I've taken had 325 mg acetaminophen in them. These 749 are awesome! What is the difference in percocet 10/325 and lortab 10/500, I know the amount of tylenol is different, but I've taken both and the lortab seem to work better than the percocet. has tylenol been taken out of lortab 10/500 ## It hasn't been taken out, but reduced because of the effects on the liver. ## FDA now requires all prescription meds to have no more than 325 mg of tylenol in each dose. There is a form of Hydrocodone that does not contain tylenol. I recently, had my med changed from vicodin 7.5mg 5xqd to lortab 10-500mg tablet. 5xqd question is, "Is the lortab a higher dose of medication than the vicodin. ## Lortab and Vicodin both contain Hydrocodone, a synthetic opiate or opioid, as their narcotic analgesic. As such, your dosage strength increase is only in the amount of pills you are now taking, not in the opioid ingredient. Oxycodone, used in Percocets and OxyContin, is slightly stronger . . . a 5/325 Perc is equivalent to a 7.5 Lortab. This is a narcotic pain reliever, very strong and addictive. ## I wouldn't say they are "very strong", they are strong if you're not used to narcotic pain relievers, much stronger than a darvocet, tylenol 3, or even a plain vicodin 5/500, but weak compared to pain relievers such as percocet, roxycodone, morphine, dilaudid, demerol, oxycontin, fentanyl, and the many other stronger painkillers on the market.
