Are there any doctors in or near the Columbus, Georgia area that prescribe Methadone & Oxycodone for pain management from injuries and surgery from auto accident over 6 years ago? ## Hello, Ann! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. If you require such medications on a long-term ongoing basis, due to the regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. However, I cannot speak as to whether or not they will necessarily prescribe these or any medications, since that is entirely up to the doctor. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone? ... ...
