Where To Fill Oxycodone Prescription

i live in nyc and i am on oxycodone 30 for severe pain. Where can i fill my prescription ata local pharmacy? ## I'm sorry, but we have no way of knowing what pharmacies carry any given medication. The only tip I can give you, however, is to actually go to the pharmacies, with your prescription in hand to ask. Due to the high risk of theft, most of them will just tell anyone that calls that they do not carry controlled substances. Does anyone else have any suggestions? ## Yeah, I'm sure just about everywhere will have it. I think under normal circumstances any licensed pharmacy should fill your prescription. It's not like they don't have the ability to (being a pharmacy and all), but whether or not the oxycodone's in stock when you get there is another story. Because that's something we can't always determine ahead of time (unless the doctor calls it in), it may come down to checking different locations in your surrounding area until someone can at the very least order your meds to arrive in a couple days. this has been a growing problem in the state of WV.. we have pharmacies refusing to fill script now do to they want to play dr, and tell ppl they are being over medicated and will not fill all of the scripts for them...I have had the worst 3 years of my life.. the pharmicst think there god i have been getting them filled for three years now all of a sudden they dont want to fill them same dr same meds im so sick of this ## @big ed, I definitely understand your frustration with these pharmacies. From what others have stated, I get the sense that the DEA is the one controlling how much they hand out and how often they are even able to hand it out. There's really no other logical explanation for pharmacists to freak out about filling patients prescriptions other than the notion that their inventory is probably being strictly monitored by the DEA. What I have yet to figure out is why doctors are even permitted to write so many scripts for it, when only a small percentage of patients are allowed the luxury of getting them filled? I am looking for pharmacies in Orange County NY who have oxycodone (non generic) ## I'm sorry, but there is no database listing what pharmacies has any given medication in stock. Such information would be very dynamic and difficult to keep track of, anyway. Additionally, due to the mandatory manufacturing limits, there is a shortage, at this time and on top of this shortage, a major pharmaceutical distributor was shut down on the east coast. It was deemed suspicious that they were moving far larger amounts of controlled substances than other similarly sized distributors. Hey guys, My pain doc in W.Va., who I've been seeing for years was shut down, so my family doc sent me to a pain clinic in Va (there are no pain clinics left in wva). CVS and another pharmacy close to the pain clinic will not fill my prescription because my address is W.Va.. I asked them to call the doc to verify it and I offered my MRI report proving that I am in bad shape (2 major back surgeries, 3 herniated discs, spondy, stenosis, scar tissue, arthritis, etc., etc) but they refused to fill it, treating me like a criminal. My question is this, I was having a very difficult time filling my legitimate 30mg oxycodone qty(120) prescription, I had an old prescription from my old pm dr. that was for 10mg oxycodone qty (98). I showed it to the pharmacist he told me it was no problem to fill, and that the only issue would be that insurance would not cover both. Maybe someone can be of help to my Elderly parent. My parent, who is prescribed 15mg generic Percocet for chronic pain in her joints is having a hard time finding a pharmacy that has the medication on hand. Quality of life is greatly improved by the proper use of this important medication. Without it, quality of life is greatly diminished.
