I have the implants that are expired. I live in NJ but I don't know where to go to get them removed. It is going to be almost a year since they are expired so it is pretty urgent. Thank you in advance for your advise. ## Hi Ary! U need 2 go 2 the doctor. I would get a hold of 1 ASAP. ## P.S. Call a gynecologist and explain your situation. I'm sure they will fit u in their appt. Schedule. ## @Ary, Any local gynecologist would probably be your best bet, since they actually specialize in this field. However, one thing to be aware of once you've had it removed, is that it could potentially take up to a few months for your hormones to normalize. This means that during this time frame, it is possible that some irregularities may still occur within your menses... but nothing to be ...

I get my mens every month though. ## Hello, Ndempa14! How are you? It can take several months for your body to balance things back out on its own for ovulation to occur, after you stop a hormonal contraceptive. And have you consulted your doctor? Hi, I was wondering that if you were unprotected during intimacy a few days before having the Jadelle removed could you fall pregnant? ## Hello, Missy! How are you? If it had expired by the time you were intimate, then yes, there would be a risk of pregnancy. However, if it was still within its normal period of protection, then no. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Jadelle as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings and irregular bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I had just got my rods removed just 5 days ago, when will the side effects of the rods go away? ## They should eventually go away, but it may take a month or more. The following month I ovulated then got my period, now in April, I think I ovulated as normal and now my period is 3 days late, doesn't feel like it is coming either, however, pregnancy test is negative. Could I still be pregnant? Why would my period be late if I'm not pregnant? ## Your hormones can fluctuate, especially this soon after having the Jadelle removed and that could result in irregular periods and irregular cycles, as reported by the FDA. The acne and lack of a period can be normal side effects of it, as listed by the FDA, you may also experience headache, dizziness, irritability, mood swings and PMS-like symptoms. However, the weight loss is not normal and you need to see your doctor to have it checked out. I understand your embarrassment, but there's no need to feel that way. Had the Jadelle implant inserted late july 2013. First week, no spotting but had really bad headaches and nausea. Week 2, I started spotting lightly. Then it got worse. Would start spotting n have heavy bleeding every time I had intercourse with my husband. Had the implant removed today. Phew! My upper arm is quite itchy, around the area of the incision. Other than that, looking forward to making a full recovery n some medical exams around the pelvic area to make sure all is A OK. Wouldn't recommen Jadelle to anyone ## Wow! I'm very sorry about the bad experience you had with it. Though you've had it removed, it could take a few months for your body to rebalance your hormones on its own. So, you may still experience some menstrual irregularities for awhile. Have you ever jus...

Hi there I am just wondering if I am still able to have babies I had the jadelle for 3 and a half years and have had It removed around december I then fell pregnant straight away which I miscarried at 8 week and 5 days I have been trying to conceive since with no success pls help ## Hello, BabyBoo! How are you? I'm sorry about your loss. Yes, it has no permanent effect on your fertility. However, your hormonal balance may be off, for awhile, after having it removed, which may explain the miscarriage and difficulty getting pregnant, again. Unless your doctor sees some reason to be concerned about a fertility issue, it will most likely just take time. Are you having regular periods? The FDA warns that they may be irregular for awhile, after having Jadelle removed and you may not ovula...

Hi. Where can I get Jadelle implant removed in Nelspruit? ## Hi Elmash, Although I'm not familiar with your location, my findings state that are there plenty of gynecologists and other health-care providers within that region who should be more than qualified enough to remove a Jadelle implant. Similarly to the insertion procedure, your health-care provider should numb the area with a local anesthetic. Under sterile conditions, a small (1/8 inch) incision will be made through which the implants should be removed. From what I've read, the removal process is said to take more time than the insertion procedure, because If the implants are too deep, they can end up being more difficult to remove. In the event that both implants cannot be removed, additional visits and incisions may ...

This is the second time I've had jadelle implants. No period but monthly cramps which are really bad. The last cramps I had were excruciating. Felt like I was in labor. My hair is thinning our and I've gained weight but my eating habits are the same. I'm having it taken out. The cramps are unbearable. ## Unfortunately, Sammy, those can be side effects of this medication, according to the U.S. FDA. You may also experience nausea, headache, and spotting. I am sorry that the cramps were that bad. When are you having it removed? Has anyone else experienced this?
