When Will I Feel A Pain Pill After My Last Dose Of Methadone

Been on Methadone for many years via a pain clinic. I am 66. I take 50 mg. daily. and was stable and reasonably pain free until this year. I fell and broke 5 ribs on two different occasions and a slight fractured hip and torn muscles on a third fall. These falls happened while training protection dogs.For about 8-9 months I was taking about 60 mgs. of oxycodone on top of the methadone with no effect on pain - ouch!. Now, the pain is gone from the falls but I am in withdrawal and feel very sick - I think. I started to take an additional 10 mgs. methadone but it's not helping - it's been about 10 days since last dose of oxycodone. At the same time I came down with a stomach bug or was that withdrawal? I have been on methadone for chronic pain for 15years. 2 1/2 years ago I was on 180mg a day. I started tapering off a year ago first 5mg every 10 days then the last 6 months or so I went to 5mg every 7 days.was doing fin till I got down to 10mg but keep pushing through it.this last Friday only had 3mg then next day 2mg then this last Sunday only 1mg. Its been almost 4 days and can't sleep but maybe 20 30 min a nite and I don't really think i sleep that much.my legs feel like I've been kicked all over. And sweating almost constantly and sneezing. With tingles going through my body only hot showers help me and have to take several a day. Wen will this end I know everyone's difernt my nurse said it takes 2weeks for any dose to get out of your system is that right. Need help...

I am 34 years old and a addict. I have been an addict since I was 21 years old. I have always been able to stop using when I wanted until last July when a string of very disturbing events happened in my life leaving me to attempt taking my own life. I jumped off a bridge falling 72 plus feet to the ground and damaging most of my body. I may be alive but i wish I was dead. I've had muscle and nerve pain with intestinal spasms since my last (3rd) peritonitis in 93. This last one caused by a surgical mistake. Took 12 yrs to recover only to then be misdiagnosed and given a very high dose of radioactive iodine which has put me into a slow steady decline and no Dr can help the myriad problems caused by that poison. I'm a 38 year old addicted to pain pills for about 20 years. My husband passed away this year Feb 14. That's when my addiction got way out of hand. I was taking lortab 10 about 30 og them a day or I would take percocet 10 or roxicet 30. I started methadone treatment last Tuesday. Started off at 20mg. They have bumped me up to 40 mg yesterday. I took 20 mg of methadone yesterday afternoon. Can I take a suboxone strip or half a strip and be ok and feel the relief of the sub? I started taking methadone about 10yrs ago for pain. Started with 80mg a day and by the 2nd yr I was down to 40-50 mg a day. Over this past year I weaned myself off to nothing VERY slowly. It has been a month and I still can't sleep and feel like crap. Can someone please tell me where I can find a doctor who is not afraid to prescribe fentanyl patches and 10/325 hydrocodone? Due to all the changes that went into affect last year, my doctor has been cutting back on my dosages and my pain has been gradually increasing with each decrease. Well yesterday was my last day of subs for me. I tapered myself all the way down to .5mg a day. I'm ok today but my back is starting to mess with me, but I'm fine. The highest dose I've ever taken was 8mg but didn't like the way it made me feel. I've been on subs for almost 5yrs now and it's just time to stop. I'M SICK AND TIRED OF BEING SICK AND TIRED!! Good afternoon. I am a 37 y/o female who suffers from chronic pain from poly/peripheral neuropathy. My pain varies from day to day. If I don't have my daily dose of Medicine, I'm in a very bad way.
