I have been taking the following medicines: Amlodepine 5mg + lisinopril 5 mg Gliclazide 80mg+ metformin 500 mg Sizopin 100mg Azona 40 mg I want to know can I take these medicines together. Or any interval is required to take the medicines ## @ kckarukachal, I'm surprised that your doctor has you on this many medications. Since they're all used for similar purposes I knew there were bound to be some complications, but I didn't suspect quite as many as I had found. Based on my research, there are several potentially dangerous drug interactions between most of the medications you mentioned. amlodipine issued dec 8,2009 is it expired already? atorvastatin issued sept 16, 2010 is it expired already ## If you received them from a pharmacy, in the type of bottles that the pharmacy's use, then the expiration date is generally one year from the date it was dispensed. Thus, if they filled the Amlodipine on 12/08/09, the expiration would have been 12/07/10. Atorvastatin filled 09/16/10 would have en expiration of 09/15/11. They do not get dangerous after that date, but they do start to lose effectiveness and may not work as well at treating the relevant medical conditions. I am an ankylosing spondylitis patient. I have been prescribed by a delhi doctor to have tablet DC Bone. However I reside in Kolkata and these tablets r not available here. I have been adviced by the chemist to have Calcimax Forte instead. Though it has the same components, can it be taken as a substitute for DC Bone Tablet. ## I can't find any information on a tablet under the name DC Bone. However, Calcimax Forte contains 1000mgs of Calcium Carbonate, 100mgs of Magnesium, 200i.u.s of Vitamin D and 4mgs of Zinc. So, as long as it meets or exceeds what is in the tablet the doctor recommended, then yes, it is fine to use it, instead. Are there any comments or questions?
