I am 87 years old . Have ben on Urimax 0.4mj for nealy a decade. Recent ultrasound showed retension of urine is nearly 50%.So I am advised to stop Urimax and take Silodal 8mg once every night 10 P.M.. Why should Silodalbe preferable to Urimax.? Should Urimax be taken in the nightbefore going to bed? I have been taking it at 4-5 P.M. ## It may simply be that after so many years, your body has gotten used to the Tamsulosin in the Urimax, so it's just no longer helping you. Learn more Urimax details here. When that happens, it is usually necessary to switch to a different medication, which in this case is the Silodosin in the Silodal. Learn more Silodal details here. As to the time to take it, I have no specific information on that, but it's usually best to follow your doctors inst...

I'm 2 weeks in with chantix and stopped smoking a week in. Can I stop the pill. ## Hello, Kenny! How are you? Congratulations on quitting!!! However, you should continue that medication for whatever period of time your doctor instructs you to do so. Stopping too early may cause the nicotine cravings to return, so you may start smoking, again. What happened with Picovir. I heard FDA failed to approve it in 2002. Has anything changed since then? ## No, it doesn't appear that there has been any change. It was initially rejected by the FDA because it was found to provide only modest benefits to those who used it and the potential for dangerous problems that it could cause far outweighed the slight help it gave. Bless u. Regards, Sleepyboy ## If you are on 1 mg of Xanax daily, take it at night? ## My doc just prescribed lorazepam as a replacement for Xanax. The Xanax just knocked me out...FAST. Supposedly, the lorazepam gives a more sustained reduction in anxiety. Not quite so rocket ship up & back down. I don't know about the drowsiness factor yet myself though. Since it's Saturday & I don't have anything critical planned, I'm going to try a mid dose in the range my doc prescribed. I'm really hoping for anxiety reduction WITHOUT the extreme drowsiness/sleepiness that ...

I was on suboxon for 2 months. I just had a kidney stone surgery. I have been taking 7.5 percocet for 6 days. When can I go back to silicon?? ## Hello, Laurie! How are you? Just like when you first start taking it, you should wait until you are in full withdrawal, before restarting your Suboxone, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. What are the levels that are checked other than testasterone levels. I'm using testopel. ## @RDM, According to the manufacturer's website for Testopel, "your doctor may periodically do tests to check for liver damage, as well as any signs of an increased red blood cell count if you are receiving higher doses." Ref: testopel.com/faqs I'm not aware of them checking for anything else outside of what is mentioned above, but you may still want to talk with your doctor as well just to be sure. Hope this helps! ## My doc says he will check blood work including the t count, PSA, and an exam for enlarged prostate after 2 months. ## They routinely (or should routinely) check PSA + physical exam, red blood cell counts, two separate T level checks, estrogen protein, and Pituitar...

I am 36 and for the past year been struggling with VERY HEAVY bleeding and HUGE blood clots. In September of 2015 I missed my period and it finally came in October 2015 (I was 6 weeks late). On January 5th 2016 I contacted my doctor because I have not stopped bleeding since October. I am talking heavy bleeding non stop and experiencing blood clots sometimes about the size of a softball. My doctor suggested lo loestrin to help reset everything back on track. I began taking this pill the same day and noticed a HUGE difference I even stopped bleeding for 4 straight days ( something that was VERY welcoming after months of torturous bleeding) my daughter got sick and I missed 1 pill last week. I've been on Androgel 10 yrs. Initially, an injection at first caused extreme mood swings. Then pump (4 pumps/ day = complete dose), started reducing last year, now 1/day. I went off of it too and had the same issues as you with extreme anxiety as well and flu like symptoms. Went back to doctor and he said to get back on it which I did but I really want to get off of it for good. ## I increased dose to one pump per day, rotating admin sites. I want to know why I am sweating so much when using dilaudids. It doesn't seem like a withdrawal thing because when I wake up I will be fine but when I take them i start sweating profusely like I am almost sick. If time goes by the sweating will stop but once I take them again I start the sweating again. If anyone can tell me anything I appreciate it. ## It sounds like you are having a reaction to the medication or you are taking too much. I would advise seeing your doctor immediately. You might want to taper down to avoid withdrawals. Tramadol 50mg will help keep the withdrawals at bay. Your pain doctor should easily prescribe it. It won't help with the pain so much, but you won't be sick. ## Hello, Jeel! How are you? Flushing and sweating can be a side effect of narcotics ...
