I am taking Glycomet 1000mg -sustained release twice a day. But I find many a times that the whole tablet coming out in the stool. What is the reason? Does it mean that the system has not absobed the medicine? What is the way out? ## I am aged 63 and suffering from type 2 diabetes. The blood sugar level used to be erratic,at times shooting up to 300PP. I was advised Glycomet 500mg twice a day + Glycomet SR 500mg twice a day. But Glycomet SR was not getting absorbed in the system and I was observing the tablet coming out intact in the stools next morning. My Pharmacist on hearing that changed it to Gluconorm G 500 mg. Last year I started taking gluconorm sr 1 mg and gluconorm g2. Now my sugar level is normal. Should I continue the medicine or change to something else with the advice of my doctor? ## I am taking gluconorm Sr 1g and within two days my sugar fasting level was 108 and my sugar glucose fasting level was 178 and my total cholesterol was 178, ldl 109, triglyceride 275, liver enzyme 178, hdl 20 and I am taking liprose 10mg after meals and gluconorm Sr 1g after meals. My gyncolgiest had suggested me to use l arginin powderd granules with half cup of water after lunch . I am already taking gluconorm Sr 250 mg aafter lunch and dinner i can use both this table s i am using femilon .i have pcod and hypothyroid .i came to know l arginine is supplement it enhances the insulin .but glucornorm Sr reducess the insulin level. As i am pod and hypothyroid patient reduction of insulin is important .please suggest me

What is the purpose of this medicine prescribed by my doctor? ## I have been taking Gluconorm SR 1g in the morning and 500 mg at night + Vobit 0.2mg in the morning and in the afternoon. Now my PBS goes up to 250 and my doctor recommended Glynase Mf (1 in the morning) + Galvusmet 50/500mg at night. Where do I stand with everything? Is this combination of meds safe? Last june i.e 2010 june i have under gone scanning and many test such as harmone,thyroid as i have irregular periodsand all the reports were normal(no PCOD), i used ovacare tablets for 2 months but periods were not regularised.Now when i again consulted doctor as we are planning for baby doctor prescribed me fertomid 50mg(5tabs),gluconorm sr 500mg(30 tabs),ebexid(30 tabs).I wanted to know why i was prescribed gluconorm and ebexid even though i am not diagnoised with PCOD or hyper thyroid..please clear my doubt..thank you..
