When Can I Feel Opiates After Taking Suboxone

If u take a 4mg suboxone at 8am in the morning before work and sweat alot and drink alot of water u could take opiates around 10pm that night and u will feel it but not nearly as much as if u just wait for the next day. Also alot of ppl including myself think u can push through by using more but its just waste of money. The sub will block it and its very dangerous because you can overdose very easily because your putting the opiates in your system but not feeling it but you can still od, also if you used subs for a few days in a row ot takes a little longer for the sub to get out of your system like another 12 to 24 hours. I took 4mg of sub's at midnight and another 4 at 8am. This is the first time I've taken it in several months. I got off my subs for a month and went back to full antagonists thinking I was gonna have gall bladder surgery. I can't take the opiates anymore so I went back to my subs two days ago after being on methadone for about two weeks. Ok..so I've been on Suboxone 8mg strips for 2 years. However, I've been only taking 4mg a day starting a week ago and have only taken 1mg the past 2 days. I have a fentanyl patch because, frankly, I'm tired of suffering with my ungodly back pain. My question is probably predictable, but given the low doses I've taken, if I use the patch tomorrow morning, will I feel the effect? I have been taking 60mg of Morphine daily for a year. This past week I took 3-4 8mg Dilaudids daily. Last night I went back to 60 mg Morphine. This morning I took 6mg of Suboxone and was in withdrawal 20 minutes later. I had to take a 1 mg Xanax and fell asleep. I am worried about tomorrow. I have no more Subs but I do have a 60mg Morphine. This is simple. I've been on suboxone for five years. I'm clean. I took opiates for thirty years. Methadone was the kinky way out and frankly doesn't work for the same reason subutex rarely works. You can still take opiates on top of both. Suboxone has a blocker. It is easy knowing you can't feel high. I still go to therapy and meetings. Beats being deaf. Good luck. ## Hello, Anfy! I have been on suboxone for I think a little over 3 weeks. I started this to get off of norcos which I took for pain and gained a dependency to. I have chronic pain and cannot function for my daughter, husband, or my management position at work while in so much pain. I would like to be able to take norco here and there to stop my pain. I have taken 8 mg of suboxone for the past 2 days, the last time being last night around 8pm. I just received a prescription for 60 mg morphine for a back procedure and am hoping to be able to take it by tomorrow night. I took my last dose of zubsolv Tuesday at 3pm (1/2) a 5.7 tab. I'm going to the dentist today at 2 to get a tooth pulled and will get lortabs today about 3 will I feel the effect? OK. I was dependent on oxycodone and norco for over a year. Started taking suboxone at just 8mg a day (that's not low, subs are extremely strong). Every 4 days I took off a mg till I was down to 1mg. After 4 days on 1mg I stopped and very light withdrawal for just ONE DAY! Then I was fine! As far as taking norco with suboxone, I just waited 5 hours and didn't go into WD but didn't feel the norco at all. So you need to wait a few days to feel opiates after taking suboxone, but I don't recommend that because you may not be out of your sub withdrawals (just not realizing it) and go into WD. Wait 2 weeks. I went cold turkey of of 80mg oxycodone per day and it was hell, so I can call subs a miracle. If you taper right you'll have almost NO WD! Hope this PSA helps.
