What To Do If You Swallow Pills

She got into my purse and cut one open and said she couldn't get it to come out of her mouth. It's 8mg/2mg suboxone film. What can i do to help get it out of her system? I'm not sure if she swallowed the whole film or not as I didn't see it anywhere in the house. ## @Brenda, First things first, if it were my child, I'd call poison control immediately at 1-800-222-1222. Secondly, I'd probably contact the prescribing doctor and/or a local pharmacist for advice on how to safely detox the child (re: activated charcoal, dandelion root, etc?) - if poison control didn't already provide appropriate information on what to do next... What hsppens if u just swallow a subutex? Just wondering. ## Subutex is best absorbed sublingualy thru the membrane under the tongue. Swollowing will give you about an 8th of the full affect. So you get about a mg out of 8 if you swallow from my experience. ## this is not true cause ive done it many times after taking them under tounge for 2 Years I kno its much easier when I swallow them I was on stripts and the pill form and then they put me on subutext due to my medical condition and I sometimes can't stomach to put this under my tounge I get sick very easy from this but it don't hurt me feel the same ## How long do you need to take subtux and how often.

the pharmacist wasn't very clear on the directions and this is a very large pill so I didn't know if my son could swallow this or not or if I could break it in half it is pink and has rx 763 on the front of it. ## Hi Teresa, The pill which you have is the 875 mg dose of Amoxicillin manufactured by Ranbaxy. You should be able to break it in half at the score mark and have your son swallow each half of the pill seperately. As far as the dosage goes, I would be sure to follow the instructions on the prescription label - So if your son is supposed to take the 875 mg each time, then please ensure he is getting the full dose (even if you're breaking the pill in half). My boyfriend swallowed half of an 8mg subutex pill thinking you take it like a normal pill. What should I have him do? My seven pound dog swallowed a gleevec 100 tablet. I induced vomiting with peroxide but not sure if it came up as she had just eaten so lots of food came up. What could gleevec do to her and what should I watch for? I gave her the peroxide about 5 minutes after she swallowed the pill.

I have been taking Minastrin 24 fe for two months and was swallowing the pill. but I just read on the pack that it's supposed to be chewed? is it still effective if I have been swallowing them? ## Hello, Jessica! How are you? Yes, that should still be fine. Chewing them just helps you absorb it faster than swallowing, but they will still work. I have a friend who takes suboxone & recently got a subutex given to him. I take suboxone myself but ive never heard of subutex until couple days ago. I took 4 mg (half of 8) Suboxone last night before going to bed and I swallowed it while I was sleeping by mistake. I typically don't swallow it and I don't take more than what I'm supposed to take. I woke up after a few hours extremely nauseous feeling like I'm going to throw up. I know it's because I swallowed it. I did eat a decent amount before going to bed.
