I am very confused which side of the pill could be sudafedrine the tan are the white ## Hello, Robert! How are you? Neither one is just the Pseudoephedrine, the ingredients are equally dispersed throughout the entire tablet. The different colors is just something that manufactured decided to do to emphasize the ingredients and how their medication is supposed to work. Side effects to Allegra-D may include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and elevated blood pressure. This medication is used to treat allergy symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?

Fexofenadine + Pseudoephedrine Drug Index

Fexofenadine, sold under the brand name Allegra among others,[10] is an antihistamine pharmaceutical drug used in the treatment of allergy symptoms, such as hay fever and urticaria.[11] Therapeutically, fexofenadine is a selective peripheral H1 blocker. It is classified as a second-generation antihistamine because it is less able to pass the blood–brain barrier and cause sedation, compared to first-generation antihistamines.[12][13...

What color of the Allegra d pill is the histamine side and which color is the pseudoephedrine side ## They have never really stated such, it is highly possible that the answer is neither and the medications are thoroughly mixed between both colors. Have you tried asking your pharmacist?

CAN THE MAIN INGREDIENTS BE SEPARATED ## Hi MIZTAZ, To my understanding, the active ingredients in Allegra D 12hr are not intended to be tampered with or separated. If you just want Fexofenadine on its own, normal Allegra may be what it is you're looking for. Pseudoephedrine is also available on its own, and is marketed under the brand name Sudafed/12 hr. Both options should be available OTC, but you may have to ask your pharmacist to get it for you if it's behind one of those locked glass doors. I hope this helps to answer your question!

fexofenadine HCI 160mg/p pseudoephedrine HCI 120mg ## Can you cut an Allegra 12 hour extended release tablet in half? I took one the last 2 mornings and had trouble sleeping both nights. ## by cutting the 12 hr. in half would it lessen the nervousness side effect? ## No, it is not safe to cut, break or crush any time released medication, because it may cause you to get too much of the medication at once. Is the generic for Allegra D ( 60/120 mg) still made and is it a prescription medication? ## Hi Bud, The generic name for Allegra D is Fexofenadine + Pseudoephedrine; and from what I could gather, it is still manufactured, but only available with your doctor's prescription. I'm not sure why this is (being that Allegra D is now available OTC), so you'd probably have to contact your doctor for more details on that. I also found additional information stating that it may have already become an over-the-counter medication as of this year (I don't know however if this statement applies to the generic version or not, but I don't see why it wouldn't): "Allegra-D is a combination product containing fexofenadine and pseudoephedrine in strengths of 60/120mg and 180/240...

A white large oval pill imprinted with Andrx 605. Found in my medicine cabinet and want to identify what it is for. ## 24 Hour Allergy Pill. Like claritin or allegra. Works better than allegra for me though! ## To add some specific details, the tablet in question contains 10mgs of Lortadine and 240mgs of Pseudoephedrine, it is used to treat allergy symptoms. As of now, since it contains the Pseudoephedrine, it is only available by requesting it at the pharmacy counter, where you have to sign for it and show ID to prove you are over 18. This particular tablet is identified as Allegra-D (12 hour), containing: fexofenadine 60mg + pseudoephedrine 120mg - a combination commonly used to treat hay fever. NOTE: the tan side does appear to resemble mustard, in that it also has little brown freckles/specks throughout that side of the pill.
