ciba ## Sorry, you have not provided enough information. This drug is available in both name brand and generic versions. There are many generic manufacturers and each one of them will make a pill that looks different. There are no rules saying that pills with the same ingredient have to look the same! The size, color, shape and imprint will all vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. The only relevant regulations from the FDA state that they must have unique imprints for identification purposes, but these will even differ by manufacturer and strength of the med. In order to identify your pill for you and tell you what it is, you need to provide the complete imprint from the pill, all letters, numbers and/or symbols that may be on it, as well as the color and shape. I was told by my pharmacist today that brand name (Novartis)-ritalin 20 mg tablets sr (sustained-release), have been discontinued. I cannot find anything on the internet to confirm this. He filled one-third of the prescription and said to contact the doctor to decide what to do. He said ritalin capsules, 20 mg la (long-acting) is still available from novartis. After being on every imaginable antidepressant over the past twenty-five years and undergoing ect, I have found that Ritalin has worked the best for me. I have been taking it for about two years now and wonder why I had to suffer for so many years prior. But that is history and I don't dwell on it. There are no proprietary guidelines for the way pills look in the pharmaceutical industry, thus there are tons of pills with that description, some are Ritalin, some aren't. ## I have a small, flat, oval shaped pill. It is scored on the same side of the imprint. One half above the scored line it is imprinted 301 or possibly 10E. On the other half below the scored line is a symbol that looks like an S with a diagonal line passing through the center, touching the end of the S's tails. I was told this is Methylin but it doesn't come as such in any pill identifier I've used. Does anyone what this is? Thanks a ton for your time. I sincerely appreciate it.

In Canada, Ritalin SR 20mg is yellow with a small black symbol-In the US, they are white but I did not look at the symbols on the pills.I require 6omg in the morning to wake up and I think that I got 2 white pills mixed up. I took 3 that had an M symbol on one side which I now thing was methadone which I am weaning myself off of.l am down from 50mg a day to 25mg. (This one may be hard to find..) back in the 80s I was one of the many children misdiagnosed with ADD ("sorry I finished your boring school work faster than everyone else!), and eventually got put into some test program at a local hospital for a summer for it. This, after ritalin did nothing for my condition. :p. One of the pills they gave us I remember fairly distinctly: small hexagon shaped with an H stamped out of the middle. Damn thing made joints lock up on me if moved the wrong way. (Ex: neck would lock if I looked up too far, and had to roll my head to either side to see forward again) So, I really wanna know, wtf did they give me??
