Does anyone know what the pink pill is that is for yeast infection and you only have to take one.......I don't know anything more today. ## Diflucan - your doctor will know what it is and you can only get it with a prescription. Here is a web site - www.yeast-infection-remedies.com/candida-diflucan.html ## Though it can't be definitively said without knowing the markings, Diflucan would also have been my best guess, since it is available in a single dose, pink tablet for treating yeast infections. It contained the active ingredient Fluconazole, and is now also available as a generic under this name and some pharmacies even include it on their $4 discounted medications formulary. Are there any questions or comments? There are more Diflucan details available here.

How many doses does it take to treat a yeast infection at 1 in morning and 1 at night. How long does it take to clear up the yeast infection I have gotten from being on penicillin? Sorry not sure if spelled correctly, I was on that for my tooth but my body always gets them when I take them. ## This medication is manufactured by Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, and they list it as containing 100mgs of Doxycycline, which is an antibiotic that is used to treat bacterial infections (NDC 53489-119). Thus, it will not help with a yeast infection, as reported by the FDA, it could also cause one, or worsen an existing one, just like the Penicillin. I was prescribed fluconazole for a yeast infection after taking antibiotics. I took the first dose two days ago 150mg. The prescription says to wait 3 days to take the second dose but I am still experiencing the symptoms and want to take it early. ## Hello, Sarah! How are you? For the best results, it is best to follow the prescribing instructions. The medication will not clear it up and alleviate all the symptoms immediately, it will take several days to work. Most prescriptions are just for one tablet, not two. The FDA classifies Fluconazole as an antifungal medication and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach pain. My granddaughter seems to have a yeast infection she is trying to itch it . The pharmacy told me to get Clothrimazole cream USP 1% is this ok ## Hello, Christina! How is your granddaughter doing? At her age, it's very important to take her to her pediatrician for a proper diagnosis and treatment. It's just far to risky to try to diagnose such a young child on your own and then treat it properly. There are chances she could get her hands in that cream and then put them in her mouth, which may be dangerous. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including skin irritation, redness and dryness. Is there anything else I can help with?

Ok so i used tho medication and got what i would like to think is a yeast infection. Thick white skimpy discharge but without the smell or itch. And i went to my GYN and was testednegative for everything but e coli wwhich was why i took it. But now there is this discjarge so i am now using an over the counter 3 day monistat to hopefully clear the symptoms and side effects of the medication. If this does not work then i will talk to another GYN because frankly im not happy with the way my current doctor treats me as a patient. ## Hello, Gabby! How are you? Can I use this on a 10onth old baby . Clotrazole cream USP 1% for a yeast infection ## Hi Christina, Clotrimazole is used to treat yeast infections. However, according to the US National Institute of Health, the product warning label for Clotrimazole recommends asking a doctor before applying this medication on children under 2 years of age. I don't know what sort of risk factors or side effects may be associated with children in this age group who are taking Clotrimazole, but I'm sure the age limit is in place for a good reason. So we can only hope that the doctor will be able to make an appropriate judgement call upon determining whether or not it's going to be safe. Something they may take into consideration is the child's biological age in conjunction with their chro...

I am a man who takes lyrica. Can I give my wife a yeast infection from my sperm having lyrica in it? ## Hello, Eric! How are you? No, it doesn't work that way, regardless of the medication, she would not be exposed to enough of it via your sperm to cause any issues. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Lyrica as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings, and weight gain. Are there any other questions or concerns?
