I got jadelle about two weeks ago and there has been constant bleeding since I got that. So I went to family planning and the put me on 84 AVA 30 ED Ta 150mcg+30mcg and told me that it should stop my periods. They out me on it for three months and I'm on my second day of this but nothing has happened! Does it die down after three months or is something wrong? If you've only been taking it for 2 days, you haven't given it nearly enough time to work and become effective. It may take a couple weeks for it do that, or as long as 3 months. i have had my Jadelle for about 2 yrs now and have had horrible periods since the first time it got put in.. they are so heavy and clotty its almost like my placenta is tearing away. ## Sorry about the problems you're having. Jadelle contains a synthetic form of Progesterone and it can cause those types of side effects in some people that use it. Generally, it's because it has stopped your body from producing enough natural progesterone. Have you consulted your doctor? It just might not be the right contraceptive for you to use. ## I have had the same issues on and off :( Mine has been in about a year and im getting it removed in the next couple of weeks. If you have had it in for two years and have been having problems I would just say get it removed. Im getting a copper IUD pu...

I had in implants put in about 8 days ago. I was spotting for the first two days and I have been bleeding for d last 6 days. It started out as light bleeding but it's getting heavier by the day. I had my baby almost 4 months ago and I haven't seen my period since then. Could this be my period returning, or is the bleeding normal after inserting the implants? ## It really could be due to either one, or perhaps a combination of both, according to NIH symptom listings. Other side effects may possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and PMS-like symptoms. Are you on any other medications? ## Thank you very much. I had to have the implants taken out after a month. The bleeding stopped after two weeks but I was having serious migraines and my blood pressure kept r...

I got my Jadelle implant 2 years ago now, where in that time i got absolutely no periods or spotting or bleeding whatsoever. I didn’t experience any side effects and felt totally normal. For the past two months this has changed however, and I’m experiencing almost constant bleeding. The bleeding varies from light and heavy, the more recent bleeding has been on the heavier side. Is this normal? Should I go have it checked out to make sure everything alright? The consistency of the bleeding I find is quite stressful, and is having an impact on my professional life (Im a white water raft guide, I’m on the river for more than 4 hours a lot of the time so i get worries about changing my tampon as we can’t stop on the river) and my intimate life. Any advice would be hu...

I was put on an oral contraceptive to control my cycle and my question is, when I'm done taking the oral contraceptives, will this affect the effectiveness of jadelle or it remains effective? ## The placebo pills will not help stop the bleeding, they are actually what's used to induce it, when a woman takes oral contraceptives. Am currently on jadelle which is causing heavy bleeding and have been prescribed Norethestrone. Am worried if this will reduce the effectiveness of jadelle that I will fall pregnant since the bleeding has stopped. ## i dont think it will affect the effectiveness of the jadelle but you rather visit your doctor for advice ## Hello, Jasmine! How are you? I have to agree with Gamuchirai. If it would alter the effectiveness, your doctor most likely would have said such, when they prescribed it. it is just another hormone, very similar to what's already in the Jadelle. Thus, it actually usually inhibits ovulation, as well. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Had jadelle 4 a year & 3mnths . I have use jadelle for yen years. I am on the third one which will end 2018. Ager fixing the third one, I have been bleeding since fix the jadelle in August last year. I visited my family planning center and was given some pill. The bleeding stopped and it came back in some few day. They change the medicine for me and that one too didn't work so i was ask to go for scan and nothing show. I am yet to the gynacologist. What should I do. ## It is actually very common to have this happen, while using Jadelle. There may have been a fluctuation in your natural hormones, so the addition of the ones in it could be too much for your body and you may have to have it removed. Have you consulted your gynecologist, yet? That would be the best thing to do.
